Because of that I can recreate lumpia my nanay makes, and it makes me feel like I'm still at home. The owner is always sincere, helpful, and incredibly sweet to my kiddos. A few Filipino stores back home treat non-Filipinos a bit rudely, but it's not the case here. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out. The only thing that gave me a mini heart attack is how pricey the sweet chili sauce is. I wish she carried a smaller bottle, but I'll probably come back for it as soon as I run out of the Nagaraya adobo cracker nuts I impulsively bought. After about 8 different stops, I was recommended by another Asian market owner to try out this place. I went in, and the owners were super nice and helpful, AND they had the jackfruit, and knew EXACTLY where it was on the shelf. I really appreciated that and they of course, were pleasant when I was checking out, and welcomed me to come back to do business. I would definitely go back to this market for my Oriental/Asian needs! :)

I went back to order my dad the hot dog combo and... it was one of the smallest, terrible hot dogs and a tiny bag of chips for $12. Not even a soda. Nothing on the dog. That is absolutely absurd. As much as I was looking forward to this, our whole family was incredibly disappointed. I cannot fathom anyone spending that amount of money on something that should cost $2 tops.

Korean movies played by the cash register and a sweet old korean lady was there to man the store, by herself it seemed. I went in to buy some home made kim-chee and some frozen octopus and squid. It's a decent sized store, they have cooking wares and glass wear and pretty oriental themed items. Korean blankets, candies, cookies, chips, condiments, ramyuns noodles, beverages... cold and warm, dried and frozen food.
