For the first interactions in Portland I was really grateful for everyone's kindness especially from those working at Hello From Portland. We were greeted right away and there a lot of fun items to choose from, I ended up getting a magnet and a three pack of spicy jellys that were specifically made in Portland. So many great options for souvenirs and I feel like I scored since there isn't any sales tax. I ended up using the jellys for my charcuterie board and it was a hit. This store is super friendly and didn't feel like they were upselling their products just because we're tourists. read more

We walked by this little shop and were drawn in by the creative painting and displays in the windows. It's a not a tourist trap! It is a great location to find Portland souvenirs: t-shirts, key chains, magnets, etc. But there are also books to learn about the city and state, samples of Oregon foods, local artwork and local business items. Visitors and locals should patronize this store to support the local community! This is a great shop with lots of goods from local artists. I always send postcards to my friends when I travel, and this store had an amazing selection. There are some items that say Portland, but there is a good selection of art by local artists, too. The shop is a block away from Powell's Books. There is a bus stop next to Powell's, so it's easy to get to using public transportation. read more

I loved this souvenir shop!! I took the bus here and had to walk five minutes. I made it here just as they were opening. They have the coolest stickers and magnets that I didn't see at any other gift shop while visiting Portland. The tee shirts are high quality, soft material, and the designs are unique. Vibrant colors. I wanted to buy more, but couldn't as I had collected other gifts from the OR coast and knew I needed to gather more in Seattle. This shop has everything! Earrings, hoodies, mugs/cups, posters, keychains, sweatpants, puzzles, hats and a plethora of stickers including car decals. I purchased stickers, tee shirts, one keychain, and magnets. The store was clean and very organized. Customer service is nice, the guy at the counter was helpful in suggesting parks to see. Tee shirt sizes vary from small to 3X. I stumbled across this store twice. Once I was here looking for me. The next time I was here looking for others. Both times were enjoyable and I am glad I happened upon the location. On my travels I always get myself something to go home with, it's usually small and won't weigh my luggage down on the trip back. Mostly I look for magnets, yeah, I've become one of those people. When I came in here on the first visit I made a b-line straight to where the magnets were. I looked them over and after a good ten to fifteen minutes I made my way to the register to check out. While at the register I started talking with the lady working and I asked her what the deal was with doughnuts in Portland. She was the one to clue me in on all things doughnuts and where the best places in town were to grab some. I honestly joked that it had a connection to The Simpsons, but I was educated and knew better now. In this exchange she also clued me in on some interesting places to check out and some great spots to grab a bite to eat. She also handed me a small piece of paper that had addresses on it so I knew where I would be heading. This was really cool in my mind that she would go out of her way to direct me to some other cool, local spots. So much so that later in the week, prior to my departure, I made it a point to come back here to pick up a few more things for gifts. On the return visit I brought a friend with me so that they could check it out too. We ventured further into the store and made sure that we scoped everything out. I ended up picking up some shirts for my nieces and nephew and headed on out. Honestly one of the best spots in Portland, especially if you are from out of town. After purchasing my home, one of the things I started was a magnet collection! This was my first visit to Portland, so I had to make sure it was commemorated by a magnet souvenir. We found this little shop on our walk back to our car and decided to pop in and see what it was about. The shop's name is befitting of the selection offered inside. It's all things Portland! If you're looking to bring home souvenirs, this is the place for you. They have a wide selection of apparel, magnets, stickers, keychains, foods/confections, etc. They also have free postcards at the counter!!! The cashier was nice enough to point this out to us as we were checking out, so we got an extra souvenir to bring home and tack to my bulletin board! Super cute souvenir shop located in the Chinatown District of Portland. On the day of our departure, we found this store and decided to stop by to pick up some goodies for our loved ones back home. There are mugs, shot glasses, sweaters, T-shirts, magnets, stickers, candles, and so much more offered for sale. The two clerks were super fun and courteous as they were monitoring the foot traffic. At this time, only three customers are allowed into the store at any given time. Looked across Yelp and went to a couple locations, but Hello From Portland was by far the best gift store that I went to when I was visiting. The store itself is nicely kept. Products are displayed well and everything is easy to find. There's a variety of items ranging from clothing to puzzles which I liked since I was not limited to just a few items to choose from. Decided on getting a hoodie, which my family member really enjoyed. Service was also great. The workers were really friendly and they helped answer any questions that I had. I guess my eyes must have been in my pockets (weird French saying) to have missed you all this time I've been walking to OCOM for my weekly acupuncture treatments. When I finally did notice you and stopped in I learned that you have been established for about a year. The shop is small, quaint and chock full of lots of Portlandy themed goodies. There's local honey, there's an entire wall dedicated to oodles of too cute onesies. A wall of Portland tee-shirts that are pleasing to tourists and locals alike. There's yet another wall covered in sweatshirts with some of Portland's most iconic images. For you bumper sticker and patch aficionados, they got you covered there too. My favorite was a bumper sticker that read "I'm Pro Sasquatch and I Vote." They also have an impressive array of refrigerator magnets. i really liked this little shop! we stopped here so i could grab a postcard before we left oregon, and i was able to find such a cute one! my partner thought the shop may be a little on the "girly side" as he was unable to find any souvenirs to bring back to his friends. i would agree, but i still think the place is neat. plus, the trinkets they sold were fairly priced (being that much was made by local artists, i think). the guy at the register was super sweet, and gave us recommendations on places to visit based on my aesthetic (being skeleton key vintage and lone fir cemetery); both are places i plan to visit when we make our way back to the area! overall, i enjoyed this lil shop despite only snagging a postcard. read more

The store location in downtown Portland is full of homeless tents. Dirty, and several homeless, mentally ill people walking in the area. Highly NOT recommended.
