Don't go unless you are only interested in undergoing procedures that make money for this center…read more Note the .biz (business) suffix on the website address. Really? Could the objective of being in it only for the money be any clearer? On the first visit I had a 90- second hallway meeting with the "medical director". Charged insurance $234, plus me a co-payment of $35 for this. The next 2 appointments, weeks 2 and 3, were for Physical Therapy, which consisted of affixing a velcro wrap that pulled on my spine and hurt like hell. The 1st time, only a couple of minutes, $187 was charged to insurance and a $35 co-pay to me. The 2nd visit was only a few seconds of "traction". Then the PT said "you don't need PT, you need surgery. PT will only make it worse." I appreciated the honest opinion but neither visit included any exercise or home care suggestions. This 2nd visit has not yet shown up in my insurance claims, but I was charged a $35 co-pay. Week 4, when medications were to be ordered, the "medical director" sat down and said "I won't treat you because you had an injection by another doctor. He should take care of you." This was after I said I would never have another injection as it only made the pain worse. I can't wait to see how much she will charge to insurance. My 30 seconds cost me a $35 co-pay. The injection visit was arranged by my PCP before even making the appointment at PMTC. And that physician ONLY does interventional medicine. Subsequently I received a letter, again rejecting care, but offering 30 days of treatment until another provider is located. This was NOT said at the brush-off visit. And why would I need another provider IF, as she stated, I am "under the care of another pain clinic"? I am requesting the center's records to refute any assertations of assessments or treatments charged to the insurance company.
