i keep going back and forth about whether or not this is a one star or two star place. first and…read moreforemost, i know i would not recommend this place to anyone. i had a mac powerbook g4. it was a great laptop for the six years i had it, and was hoping it would last just a little longer. anyway, it was having issues and i took it into the apple store. they no longer work on that model, and recommended this place. they should stop. i took the computer in, and left it for diagnosis. this is the only good part. they were able to tell me the issue w/the computer within the day, and that was free. the logic board was bad, and needed to be replaced. so, i had them order the part. they expected about week to get the part in, and then a few days to repair it. i was fine, and i knew that was going to cost, but it beat buying a new laptop. after a week, i called the shop to check on the status. they weren't sure yet about the part arriving, & said they would call me back to let me know. DIDNT EVER CALL BACK. i waited two more days, and called back. each time i called, the staff had to track down my info or the person that was working on it. no communication between workers. when i got to the guy working on it, he told me the part still wasn't in. i get this, i ask if they know when it will be. when i buy things online, they give me an estimated ship or arrival date. no idea when part will be in. says he'll call me back to let me know because he's checking on the part status. guess what, DIDN'T CALL ME BACK. i give it another week, call the shop. still no idea when it will be in. i guess i'm stupid, because i keep waiting for them to let me know about the part, but they don't. so, a month after i tell them to order the part, they tell me they don't think they can get it in, but we could try another company. sure, order the part and see if someone else has it. a day later i call them back, am informed that the other place doesn't have the part in stock. i drive over to their shop & picked up my dead laptop. free diagnosis of computer = great customer service = terrible ability to repair computers = who knows? remember i said i wasn't sure if it was one or two stars? after writing it up, it's one.
