He apparently dined at a restaurant next door to it from a past visit. So he was intrigued to find what this restaurant offers. Looking at their menu, they seem to have a wide selection of dishes. It's really more a mediterranean rather than just an italian restaurant. They had mousaka as their special of the day, among others, but we were still full. So the hubby opted for their profiteroles with cafe americano. He so loved it that I didn't even get a chance to take a picture of it. I tried their "chupitos" (shots). Hey, it's 5 o'clock somewhere! And it was quite an experience. Imagine different flavored alcohol shots ... pandan, strawberry, ube, chocolate and melon? Just because it piqued my interest, I'm rating it a 4. I like restaurants that give me a unique experience. Definitely will come back to try their dishes.

French elegance in the Philippines [CEBU CITY Philippines]…read more Wow! a slice of Parisian experience in the Philippines! This is a French-themed restaurant and wine tasting room located in the heart of Cebu City.... Btw, the name has changed to La Parisienne Sky. I will attempt to update Yelp. The road is steep heading to Tops Lookout. There is an entrance fee of PHP 200/person (around $3.50) which can be applied to your purchase in the restaurant. Inside is very classy, modern and posh Paris-themed establishment. Even the servers were dressed in bistro server uniforms. We ordered some pastries and cheese. Some of us went for the gelato. So many flavors to choose from. Across the gelato station is the wine tasting room. We sat under their outdoor covered patio. We enjoyed the beautiful views and the nice breeze. Nice place to visit for anyone looking for something different, for those looking for a taste of French elegance in the Philippines it's worth visiting. Btw, the gelato was delicious! Oh la la la... The restaurant is set back in a lunch garden across a small pool from a dessert spot. We were greeted and accommodated despite not having a reservation. The ambience of the restaurant was beautiful - modern yet cozy. The restrooms were clean and the servers very polite and attentive. The food was delicious. My friend ordered the salmon dish and I order a shrimp pasta. For dessert, the server recommended one of their specials - a tiramisu creatively plated as a flower in a flower pot with a watering can filled with a delicious white sauce that is to be poured on top. The price fit the food and the general feeling and service of the place.

It's only been around for a year or two. I was shocked to see there was no Yelp reviews on this place, yet. Service - fully professional. Great service. I've never ordered something here that they were out of (common at some local places here). Drinks - this is a real bar. All the well known brands, many cocktails on the menu. Several cocktails you've maybe never heard of. If they don't have it, they'll try to make you happy. I was impressed that their margarita was basically a true skinny, no sugar at all. Just Quervo, triple sec, calamansi lime juice. But, this bar, like most in the Philippines, serves a cocktail with almost no ice in a martini sized glass. Food - nice menu - the sizzling sisig is fantastic. I was expecting more from the more expensive sizzling beef on a previous visit, but it was not even close to the quality of the sisig. My cast iron plate was hot enough to fully cook the egg on my sisig plate. It really was excellent. Karaoke - this is pretty typical locally to have a midi videoke machine. These are not sweet backing tracks. But, it's a good system with a wide selection. I have several favorite places in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. But, Spindrift has become my true number one favorite.
