Once we arrived up there, we got one of the last group tables of the place, watching the live band jam out. I only drank beer here, while my relatives ordered some bar food (chili cheese fries and sisig). It's a bar and there's bar food here. If you're looking for actual good food then Timeout isn't your place. It's known for the fun, lively environment that it has, with a live band playing metal rock, where the entire audience sings along while the lead singer whips her hair back and forth and often sings, standing on the bar! It's a fun place! Come for the experience! Despite how busy the place got, service was always on point. They even offered free shots of vodka for the entire place, going around to all the tables, pouring a shot for all those willing to party. Timeout is where to do it on a Saturday night.

The problem with the outdoor patio was that it was muggy and the humidity was unbearable. Drinking a bucket of Super Dry San Miguel beer probably made it worse with the comfort level, but that feeling went away as the night went by. Service was slow, though, and we had to wave at any of the staff for our food and drinks. That's us even considering that it was in Cebu, and slow service was a given. Food was reasonably priced and delicious. I'd probably seek a bar with air-conditioning the next time we hang out with my buddies.

Upon entry, you will be greeted by the bouncer who also serves as the ticket seller. Door fee is php80 with free drink (our that time was between rhum coke and vodka sprite, we chose the latter). Don't expect too much from the mix. Ours didn't taste like vodka sprite but for the price you pay, it's hard to fault the bar for offering sub-standard versions. Inside is a squarish-area with low ceiling. That made the place look smaller than it really is. The bar is to the left while the dj booth is on the right. There are several tall tables and quite a number of smaller ones. These are all for free as long as you get in early. I was told that they invite guest DJs every Saturday and the one playing that night was superb. Tunes are mostly Billboard Top 100 remixes. The crowd is a motley combination. There are locals (very easy to spot as they usually dress laid back), old, creepy foreigners, young foreigners, and college students. The older foreigners get in quite drunk so they're rowdier and creepier than normal. The club follows a strict dresscodes for men. No Sando / Sleeveless, no slippers. Shorts are okay though. Oh and you're only allowed to smoke outside. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. Definitely a step towards the right direction for Dumaguete. I just wish they can jack the price some more so unsavory locals can't get in and mess up the otherwise good crowd. I guess that's hard to do in Dumaguete where people are probably used to paying a smidge for almost everything.
