I love this place. I have been going here for years and it is still fun. The driving range is like your average one. The pro shops are cool and the people are really nice. The putt putt course is my favourite part though. read more

Really good food! We were on a voucher so we also had a discount but the drive to Raby Road was…read moreworth it. They are still working on the roads and there are many estates being built so Sunday lunch rather than an evening meal is a pretty good option as it is easy to miss the turnoff too. Three of us had the pork belly and we were not disappointed. The barramundi was very nice too. We really didn't need the sides of vegetables and wedges as the meals had enough on the plate. Service and presentation was excellent. The restaurant was pretty quiet but it looked like the "bistro" was doing a fair trade with the golfers stopping for a drink and monster hamburger. The entertainment was the golf; golf carts playing dodgems on the fairway trying to seek out their balls; weird golf swings [shudder] and golfers being attacked by ducks when the balls landed in the pond.

My 2nd favourite golf course in Sydney! Reason for this? Planes! I'm a self-confessed plane geek,…read moreand this course is situated right next to the airport so is a great opportunity to mix a round with a bit of plane spotting! There's even a hole, where I'm pretty sure with a solid hit with a driver, I might be able to land it on the runway - but I resisted the temptation to try that, seeing as I'd lost enough balls already. But to the more important matter of the course itself. It's a challenging one as the fairways are pretty narrow, which means unless you drive straight, you're going to have some problems. I had some problems. It's kept in pretty good nick, so no chance to blame a dodgy fairway for your shanked 5 iron onto the neighbouring hole. And it's reasonably priced too, with 18 holes on a weekday only setting you back $35 ($45 on weekends). So if you enjoy planes and golf, head down to the banks of the Cook River and see if you can hit a passing 747 (it's tricky but I'm sure it's possible).

They were very accommodating and sensitive to our circumstances and able to assist as much as possible. All staff were very friendly and helpful during the event itself. Because they are renovating the upstairs function room they were still easily able to accommodate us in private function room on the first floor. The catering food was very nice and enjoyed by all. There's plenty of parking for guests. The club itself looks nice and modern and quiet location. We actually did a test run of what the food would be like by eating at the bistro (before aforementioned event) and the food was good enough. Enough to calm any apprehensions about what the food would be like. The events manager was very helpful and understanding of our booking and made sure everything was looked after. They pay tribute to ANZAC every day at 5pm, there's a moment of silence throughout the club, which you can always trust an Aussie club to have Aussie values when they do tributes like this. Like any club of this nature you can join up to their membership and receive discounts on all purchases made on premises using your member card. They also have a golf course and lawn bowls if that's your thing. Perfect for any day of the week lunch and dinner, I know we'll be going back for lunch soon!

A pure links course - water on three sides or something like that. Who cares, it is just a stunning course in an amazing location. Imagine cresting the hill on the 5th and there's an 80 year old shipwreck on the rocks. Imagine having to cross a bridge over the Pacific Water Hazard to an island tee and hit a shot back onto Australia. It will nearly always eat your lunch the first few times. Rarely will the wind not factor - all par fives and threes face a different direction. The members are smug, nah - being honest that's just the voice of pure green envy, in fact they are super friendly and bloody good golfers on the whole (leave the pun alone - drop the weapon and slowly walk away from the pun!) Play it whenever you can, never turn down an invite or an opportunity. The most memorable golf course you will play in Australia.

The course is incredibly well maintained - honestly I have seen greens not as well kept as the fairways on this course. However it is punishing - to be a top course means to be a tough course and that it is. Take your medicine like a grown up...
