The pelvic floor Pt is also a great service that helps patients like me learn about our female bodies. I recently had a check up, but had the flu and the office was super flexible and let me switch my appointment to telehealth... arguable the only positive thing to come from Covid in 2020. Overall a 4/5 stars for a doctors office. I do think that their schedules are very full so that is challenging on the scheduling side of things.

I asked around and heard some great reviews of Sarah Mika at Women's Health Collective. After reading more on their website, I was very interested as they sounded like a holistic, woman-focused, non-judgmental and inclusive place for healthcare. I was able to register for a new patient appointment and got scheduled for an initial visit pretty quickly. When I arrived at the office, I especially loved that they had a land acknowledgement posted. The office staff that I interacted with were so kind, lovely, and sweet - I give them 5 stars for sure! I also really liked the friendly medical assistant who took my vitals and history. Sarah was less friendly. She was professional, but I just didn't get a very good vibe from her. This was reinforced when I saw her a second time recently for a sore throat. I felt that she was dismissive of my concerns about an over the counter med she recommended, and I felt like she thought it was silly that I came in for a sore throat (even though she asked me to come in after I sent a message through their portal). I honestly felt like she was rolling her eyes at some of my questions. This was so off putting to me, I immediately started looking for other providers as soon as I got home from that visit. To top everything off, my next checkup that Sarah scheduled was cancelled with no reasoning - I get that things happen, but it was just an added annoyance that further cemented my decision to find another provider that I really mesh with. Sarah seems like a fine provider for someone who doesn't want to make a personal connection or have shared decision making about their healthcare. Again, I have heard several glowing reviews about her care, but it ultimately was not a good fit for me at all.

His bedside manner came across as dismissive and unprofessional, and I felt like I was being talked down to rather than listened to as a patient. At one point I was asked what I thought was wrong with me, which felt strange since I came in looking for medical guidance as someone who is not a healthcare professional. Because of this experience, I will NOT be returning. I seriously hope Cary receives additional training in patient communication and bedside manner in the future.

I told him he was making me uncomfortable and then he finally stopped chirping at me. Never knew cold symptoms could be made so complex. In an industry where your job is literally to provide care, the way you treat people matters. Nobody wants to be at an urgent care less than the patient, but at this location apparently it's the staff who don't want to be there most. Left feeling discouraged, with no help, and $70 less in my pocket from my copay.

I even told the doctor, Daniel Mann, that I suspected pneumonia. He listened to my lungs for less than 10 seconds, dismissed my concerns, and prescribed me an inhaler, steroids, and a cough suppressant--despite the fact that I told him I did not have a cough. When I asked for clarification about my symptoms, the only explanation I was given was "it's probably a cold." When I asked if he could say with certainty that it was not pneumonia, he told me yes. I had to push just to get a COVID and flu test, because in my life I've never had a "cold" this severe. To be fair, I understand my visit was close to closing time. However, this was the only urgent care open at the time, and I simply cannot afford an ER visit. I was hoping for thorough care and reassurance, but instead left feeling dismissed and confused. Over the following week, my symptoms did not improve and actually got worse, especially the difficulty breathing. I ended up going to a different urgent care for a second opinion, where they performed a chest X-ray and confirmed I do in fact have pneumonia. That means I spent an entire week untreated, walking around contagious, exposing my baby brother and my best friend who has severe asthma and lung issues. This misdiagnosis and dismissal could have had serious consequences for me and the people around me. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of thoroughness and the disregard for my symptoms, and I would strongly caution others about the level of care provided here.

I have been a patient here for about a year now. I've been in 4-5 times, and I've been very happy…read morewith my experiences. Before coming here, I had seen my regular doctor for a yearly visit, and when some concerns were raised, I was then referred to an endocrinologist, who gave me a diagnosis, but no plan of action besides "wait until your thyroid is no longer functioning, and then take synthetic thyroid, and eventually remove the thyroid altogether". None of my MANY physical and emotional symptoms were addressed. They just ruled out cancer and sent me on my way, and he even scoffed when I asked if I could try to save my thyroid through diet and natural methods. I was told I could read all I wanted online, but it was all "hogwash". I tried Age Management because I had heard they were medical doctors, but they also looked for root causes and would support natural ways to heal the body. Sure enough, the first thing they did was run full blood panels (no one else had thought about doing that?), discovering, among other things, that I was insanely low (the lowest she had seen, even in Michigan, she said) in Vitamin D...which was probably to blame for many of the things I was experiencing. Dr. Ali suggested a few supplements, and we discussed several ways I could help heal myself through nutrition. I started feeling remarkably better within 3 months of my first visit. My most recent blood draws show a HUGE rise in my Vitamin D (I'm still low...that's how low I was originally), a leveling off of several other things, AND numbers moving in the right direction on all my thyroid readings. A year later, and my "sick" thyroid is functioning BETTER than it was when the endocrinologist said we could only wait. I feel a million times better physically and emotionally; most of the symptoms I was having have disappeared, and my health is headed in the right direction...all because Dr. Ali at Age Management was willing to look for the CAUSE of my symptoms and PREVENT and HEAL disease instead of waiting until it got bad enough that it needed to be treated with medications and surgery. I guess all that "hogwash" paid off for me. Keep in mind that this is not a "traditional" medical practice. They offer many things that are not typically used in the medical field in the USA, but I can't say that's a bad thing, as I've learned our medical system is seriously lacking in some areas. Some things they offer aren't for me, but I'm thankful Age Management is willing to think outside the "American Medical box" and treat the whole person.
