We walked in and were immediately greeted with a smile and friendly staff. Ummmm, little did I know that this was in fact a gay bar, go figure... But I will say that they have an awesome selection of cocktails and the service was tremendous. This place has a ton of vodkas and gins to choose from that are absolutely delicious. They have like 3 - 4 tables to dine. It is very small, sometimes difficult to pass. But you also have a lounge area where you can sit down. The interior is a mix of funny second hand stuff and swiss stuff. During the weekend there is sometimes a DJ. Nice place to have drink !

The fish on the nigiri was still great, and the futomaki were fun (sprouts?), but the plain maki were pretty plain, and the white miso was more crunchy (onion perhaps?) and less flavorful than most of the versions I've tried. Barfüsser claims to be one of the oldest gay-friendly bars in the world ("oldest continually operated", perhaps?). I stopped by during the after-lunch lull for a little sushi --- fine time to try the fish, but it was fairly quiet and didn't get much of a feel for the denizens.

Last weekend they we're playing oldies. But... It works. And sometimes they're remixed or whatever, but it's always dance-able. It's refreshing to have a cool club that plays a funky eclectic mix that differs from the majority. Sort of typical look... a downstairs, basement-y, small, funky place that does get tight but not uptight. And if it's not uptight, it's ok to be tight. I mean, you don't have to be bothered bumping into people, cause everybody's cool, but not TOO cool... Know what I mean?
