This goes back over 50 years ago, I remember visiting Aunt Elsie and Uncle Milton on a Sunday. Uncle Milton would grill Held's brats for lunch. I remember the brats had a unique aroma when being grilled and their flavor, better than anything from a grocery store. Camping trips meant a stop at Held's for jerky, very good. Where I live now there are a number of markets that have good brats and smoked meats. But, when I want the German old time flavor of sausage smoked or fresh, I make the trip to Held's. Absolutely fantastic neat,sausage and cheese products. The best fresh liverwurst ever. The spicy Jamaican beef jerky is also fantastic and no MSG or sulfites. If you're in the area it's well worth a stop. Hours are Monday-Friday 8-530 Saturday 8-430 closed Sunday. read more

Love getting meats here, I'd say the best smoked meats in the area. The bacon sometimes is a hit or miss though I either get bacon that is Smokey and delicious or real salty bacon that is not too appetizing. But over all I love the place. read more

It's business time at Held's. Quick and easy on=off interstate location. Lots of locals buying meats and cheeses here. Not the largest selection of stuff, but they have the best. Well worth the stop, you will leave with something muy delicioso! I've bought great cheeses here, and great jerky. Best sausage shop in the area, You will not be disappointed.

I love this place! There jerky and beef sticks are the only ones I'll buy. I make a special trip just to get them. The problem is I can't make the trip often enough. I sure wish they were open on Sundays instead of Mondays I could make it more often and I think they could get a lot more people stopping in coming home from up north no matter what time of year. read more

Their Beef Jerky and Beef Sticks are amazing (also expensive). I have been going there for years and they have a consistently good product. The staff is friendly, however they never seem to be able to take you in the order you came in. Oh well, still worth the visit. read more

Held's bacon is the only bacon worth eating! During the 30 years we lived in Wisconsin, Held's was a must-stop. For the past 20 years since we moved to California, my husband has driven back for Wisconsin's opening weekend of duck season and stocked up on his way home. We buy by the slab, unsliced, and then I cut the slabs into 1 lb. chunks for the freezer. Best bacon in the world! And the service is equal!! read more

Up until Friday I would have given this 5 stars... been shopping here for years and this was first time a clerk was rude. If I ever see him again, I will refuse to give him my order and ask for somebody else. I have been going to Milwaukee Wi. quite a bit for the last 7 or 8 years do to my work, and a friend from church asked if I knew where Slinger, Wi. is located of course I said no so he proceeded to tell me how to get there and asked if I would pick him up a few things. Sure I said, that was the single best tip I have ever gotten on a meat market, their bacon is to die for and they have the tastiest pork loins I have ever tasted. A while back I picked up some of their cheese( they don't make it but they have it on hand and was great!) If you are ever in the area do yourself a favor and stop by, they are the only thing at their exit and I promise you won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped there today 10/30 for the first time. Have business in Oshkosh & kept seeing this. Have relatives with the last name of Held so we stopped. Had the best salami ever. Smoked chedddar was awesome. Was away from my husband for 3 nites & he went straight for the salami & cheese. Nuff said.
