Specialties
At Heirloom, we help families, businesses, and government agencies preserve what matters most before time destroys it.
Based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Heirloom specializes in digitizing aging media including VHS tapes, camcorder tapes, film reels, photographs, slides, negatives, audio recordings, DVDs, floppy disks, and other obsolete formats. Whether you have a single VHS tape or an entire family archive, our team is committed to helping you recover, protect, and enjoy your memories again.
Unlike many national mail-in services, Heirloom offers a personalized experience. You're welcome to visit our office, speak with a real person, and receive expert guidance on the best way to preserve your collection. We inspect your media before you commit, provide transparent pricing, and never charge for blank tapes. We can even recover many items that other companies reject due to mold, damage, or age.
As a veteran-owned small business, we believe trust matters. That's why customers from across the United States choose Heirloom to handle irreplaceable family memories dating back generations. Our goal isn't simply to convert old media—it's to help families reconnect with the people, stories, and moments that made them who they are.
Once digitized, your memories can be viewed on phones, tablets, computers, and smart TVs, making them easier than ever to share with family members near and far.
History
Established in 2022.
After retiring from the U.S. Navy in 2022, founder Geoff Weber launched Heirloom with a simple mission: help families preserve their most important memories before they are lost forever. What began as a small operation quickly grew as customers entrusted Heirloom with aging VHS tapes, film reels, photographs, audio recordings, and other irreplaceable media.
Since then, Heirloom has served customers across the United States, digitizing millions of memories while building a reputation for exceptional customer service, transparent pricing, and the ability to recover media that others often reject. The company has expanded beyond digitization to develop secure cloud technologies that make it easier for families to organize, share, and preserve memories for future generations.
Today, Heirloom is a veteran-owned small business headquartered in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, employing veterans and neurodiverse team members while remaining committed to its founding promise.
