And I wasn't even home when they did all that. Last week the big day finally arrived. Our power went out in a snowstorm and within seconds the generator was online. The power was out for 12 hours, and the generator never missed a beat. For the first time in 14 years since moving in I had complete confidence and peace of mind that our house would be OK in a power outage; whether or not I was home. No more staying home from work, no more filling gas cans for a portable generator, no more babysitting. Thank you Coyne for a fast, professional, and thorough job of providing fuel to my new generator. PS, since installing the generator Coyne has installed real-time remote tank level monitoring on my tank. Instead to they decided to would take it upon themselves to detach a 500 gal tank, with propane in it, that was attached to my home, and the only heat source in the middle of December on a 15 degree day. mind you this was propane, that I have already purchased. NO call, NO knock on the door. When I realized the tank was gone, I immediately called the office, and they claimed that I asked for them to take the tank! They said the tank is in their yard now, and good luck, there nothing they are willing to do for us. NO remorse, NO apology for their mistake, and NO solution to fix the problem. In the meantime, any other propane company is 2 weeks out on installation, and my house and children are freezing, for no apparent reason, nothing more than a clerical error. I like their monthly payment plan so that you do not have to pay a lump sum to fill your tank. They can tell your gas level remotely which is convenient. Our neighborhood switched to natural gas and they paid me back a prorated amount for the gas left in my tank which was nice.

Had to deal with some heart issues last winter and we never were able to go up to the house last winter. This spring i seen it was 60%, came by a month later and the tank and gas was gone. Called Holtons asked what was going on and they told me that they knew the house was sold and since their was no activity on the account they sneaked in and took gas and tank. I would think that if you knew the house was sold that the new owner would obviously be a prospective buyer? Well I know what I think of losing $200 in propane, but i guess if you can take it back in certain situations and make an extra $200, doesn't sound like good business ethics to me.

After calling a few times and finally getting someone to return my call, I was told that I should have kept an eye on the level in my tank. I told them I had propane for 20 years and never had to do that and never ran out in all that time. We had to leave because it was so cold and they couldn't tell us when a truck would be out to fill the tank. When I talked to them in regards to selling my house and the steps I would need to take if the new owners didn't want them for their propane company they simply said to call them with the date and they would get the tank and gas and refund me for the price paid. Well imagine my surprise when I was charged $75.00 for labor and $92.20 restocking fee! They also knew I was moving out of state and would never use their service again. They could have spoken the truth.
