Debit cards using PIN always got the Cash price. Now, the pump price doesn't change on pump from the default Credit price displayed when using your Debit card. Receipt does however show you got a .10/gal discount using debit, but that's still .30/gal more than cash price you used to get. Asked the attendant why this happened and was told this change happened about 3 or so weeks ago with no explanation as to why. I said this is the last time I'm coming here for gas, attendant said that's okay. I'll go up to the Heights for my gas now with this debit card price gouging practice this Astro now does.

There were limited pumps available and you I had to enter in how much I wanted to spend so I couldn't fill the entire tank. Inside the station the bathroom definitely needed a cleaning. It was a fairly well stocked convenience store though and the cashier was friendly. I probably would avoid this station if I could in the future, but it met my needs.

Some look like you can pay at the pump, but the screen says you have to pay inside only. These change from week to week so it's a lottery of which pump MIGHT let you pay at the pump. Of course , the best are the ones where you think you can pay and once you're done and need a receipt, you have to go inside. It's hard to know how much of this gas lotto is incompetence, & how much is intentional to keep a worker busy. Either way, it's annoying. High prices to hit travelers coming in off I-84 too.

The attendants are all very friendly, and once in a while they have special prices on Zyn. But I go there because they actually give a shit about the windshield washing equipment. They replace the fluid often, and there is even a long-handled squeegee for those of us with trucks. I'm a local and I actually go there as often as is convenient.

I've been going to this gas station for years as the location is super convenient, just a few feet from the I-84 entrance or exit and on the way to White Salmon. I can't fault them because they can't find or retain help as most all service industries are dealing with the same. Retailers, restaurants, farmers market vendors, lifeguards, grocery stores - it's happening everywhere. Prices were better than any other station at $4.39 for regular which is $4.49 in Troutdale and still over $5 in Portland. They also have a food mart but I've never had a reason to go in there. Oregon continues its misguided policy of thinking that forcing full serve creates a better economy…read more(funny how 48 other states manage with self serve). They even have self-serve at grocery stores, but the lack at gas stations and the transient nature of customers and lack of customer service training (or interest in it) shows up at gas stations. At this spot, we sat for 5 minutes waiting for the attendant (we could have filled our tank and been gone, and the attendant would still have a job because someone has to staff the store). He took the card - I just love having a stranger wander off with my c/c), pumped the gas, and that was it. No windshield cleaning, no questions about washer fluids or tire pressure. This is deeply low skilled work, combined with zero customer concern.
