Mrs. Hawk has been running a business here for at least 40 years if not more and this is the first person to accuse her.I parked cars across the street from her and never heard of her cheating people. The police station is right across the street .Why didn't you go report it??? I parked my car (with out of state tags) and put my money in the box. When I returned a few hours later, an old lady came out and said I hadn't paid. I thought she had just made a mistake, so I asked her to look in the lockbox. Well, she unlocked the box, and there was no money in it! She had taken the money out after I left so she could accuse me of not paying when I returned! I had no proof I had paid so I just gave her another $10. I visit Boothbay Harbour every summer but I will never park here again.

The manicure I recieved there has stayed intact long than any I've ever had! The cons: although we didn't have to wait and were seated immediately, it took exactly 2 hours each for a mani/pedi. Back home a mani/pedi takes about an hour. Also, I've never been to other Maine salons so I'm not sure how this compares, but one mani/pedi is $60, about $20-25 more than I pay in CA. If I lived in the area, I'd continue to get my nails done here....but perhaps half as often as I do in Oakland...
