First time using this company. Phone calls were returned very promptly. Working with Robert was…read morepleasant; he explained the process in depth and was able to show me multiple photos of projects he completed in the past. Our biggest obstacle was the weather. It was difficult for him to find enough dry days in a row to complete the staining of our deck. His crew arrived on time and were very polite and pleasant. Two workers arrived at 1:30 pm and began prepping the deck (it had been pressure washed a couple weeks prior); more workers (2 or 3) arrived about 45 minutes later. By 4:30 pm they were done...which is where my concern came in. We have a pretty big deck, with a lattice covered arbor, and I am not convinced they applied two coats (as promised) in such a short time. When they arrived, I questioned the information Robert had given me saying that both coats would be applied in the same day, with minimal drying time in between coats. The worker confirmed this, saying the product was a "wet coat" product. When I checked the information on the back of the can they left for touch ups, the directions indicated you could re-coat in two hours. The size of our deck, combined with the minimal amount of time the workers were on site, makes me doubt that the entire deck received two coats, as contracted. I did contact them to discuss and was told that yes, they did do two coats on the whole deck. I was told that their experience allows them to complete a project of this size in such a limited amount of time. The finished product looks good, however there are some areas that are shinier than others. Also, the deck overall has a sticky feel when you walk on it. I was told this should go away in a few weeks to months, but to contact them for resolution if it does not. My overall experience allows me to recommend this company. I would, however, watch the workers carefully to make sure the project is completed as contracted.

Do NOT go with this company. Update from my last review 3…read moremonths ago: he was "shocked" at how poorly done everything was and told me he would come out and fix everything in one day. Guess what? He hasn't at all and it's been over a month. He completely ruined my house and now I have to figure out how to fix the mess him and the people he hired made. So beyond frustrating

Complete Nightmare of An Experience!…read more We hired Matt Matusek from Expanded Living Contracting LLC in October of 2020 to renovate our hallway bathroom, replace the tile floor of our upstairs shower and assist with a few other home improvements. Little did we know at that time what a horrific experience we were in store for and what a terrible mistake hiring this company would be. What we were promised to be a few week renovation turned into a 6 month incomplete nightmare filled with damages and tons of unnecessary stress and displacement. Matt assured us he was skilled in installing tile. It became clear quickly that was not the case. We selected a white tile to be installed in a beautiful herringbone pattern in the shower and a patterned tile to be installed on the floor and wall of our hallway bathroom. A variety of glaringly obvious, inconsistent grout thicknesses were used to install all if the tile. The herringbone pattern was extremely sloppy. There was nothing professional about the install, especially the fact that is was never completed. Broken and chipped tiles were installed and the shower grout was so sloppy and unfinished that the tiles easily fell right off the wall when touched. We decided to move the location of our tub and Matt told us that a standard size tub would not fit in the new location. Come to find out after the fact, when having the bathroom repaired from all the mistakes Expanded Living Contracts, LLC made that there was room to fit a standard size tub and we were convinced to unnecessarily build out a wall and purchase a tub we did not want or need. The tub Matt installed was destroyed during his terrible shower tile install as he dropped the tiles in the unprotected tub and scratched it all up. Toilet was installed 15" away from the wall behind it leaving a large, awkward gap. A new vanity was installed which we had to go purchase on our own because the one we purchased through Matt came in painted the wrong color and was unable to be corrected. When he and his plumber installed the new vanity they were sloppy with the grout and plumbing material they used and stained the vanity shelves and left them that way without cleaning them up. In fact many days we had to mop and clean up our home after Matt and his crew were finished working. Great care was not taken in protecting our home while working with them. We were initially told the hallway bathroom reno would take approximately 2 weeks. 6 months later it was left still not finished and full of unresolved issues yet Matt still demanded he receive his final payment without even completing the work. And as if all of that insanity wasn't stressful enough we had another major issue occur from the poor repair job Matt did on our upstairs shower pan. He never installed the proper banding on the shower pan which resulted in water leaking from the shower down through the ceiling into our living room. The ceiling had to be cut out and the entire shower had to then be addressed and repaired by a true professional. This entire disappointing experience was nothing short of a nightmare. We lost a ton of money, time and peace by hiring this incompitent company. We are sharing this information in an effort to prevent anyone else from experiencing the same. Expanded Living Contracts, LLC is NOT the partner for you for your next home renovation.

I live in a very well to do neighborhood and unfortunately, these guys will look up house values and charge accordingly so while some neighborhoods will get $10k decks, not mine. If I was living in DC suburbs then they'd charge us $50k for the deck. I got the PVC Aztek material with metal posts. The guys did the job in 2 days. I was worried when I saw scuffs on my new deck the day after install, but Luke came to buff them out. With Aztek, you have to be very careful about scratching the deck with furniture so I've yet to put anything on my deck! We rarely eat out there anyways. We're not outdoorsy people.

In both solidity of structure and also presentation. The workers were pleasant, tidy, cleaned up each day, and assisted working through some unknowns that cropped up. I used high quality lighting, and porch rail which included a flat top for drinks, and also LED lighted from underneath. I am not prone to writing reviews, generally, but where work is especially good it should be acknowledged so their business can expand. The design and quote phase introduced some new ideas to my intentions. Kevin, MIcah, and Jose did a great job on-site. Based on the back deck/porch experience I am considering a front porch overhaul as well.

Since they skipped the framing inspection, I now have to pull up my floors and pay for that as well as pay to replace the new floors and pay to fix the support. They both have attitude problems and refused to cooperate with the attorney generals office to solve the issue. They did work on a friends house and put her and her family's safety in jeopardy as well. They failed to show up to court after being subpoenaed in a civil case. Dylan is still harassing me for money even though he was paid what was on our contract. He is claiming he did work that he did not do. I also had to hire a new contractor to fix the siding on my house since Dylan cracked the existing siding. He also spilled concrete on the siding, on my driveway, and on my pavers. He claims to have insurance;however, the insurance policy does not cover his work. It only covers damage to existing property. Do not hire A and D. They also go by Top Tier and Top Level Contractors. I spoke to a lawyer who advised their contracts are not even legal since they fail to provide their license numbers. This job was supposed to be done December 2022 and it still is incomplete. They disappear for days without answering a text or a phone call. Adam had the audacity to show up to my house stating he couldn't pay rent so we fronted him and he STILL didn't finish the job. Adams wife also decided to harass me on Facebook stating this work was acceptable because I am living in my home....the truth is I was living in my home until I had the township inspection and they deemed it unsafe for me to live in. Recently, I reached out to the Lower Salford Police Department due to Dylan's harassment for more money. Currently there is a cease communication in place. He was advised if he contacted me again there would he harassment charges.
