In fact, when I lived away from Cincinnati for 5 years I never got a new dentist in the town I was living in. I would just schedule my appointments for when I was back visiting in Cincinnati. He attends dental conferences every year and I am very impressed with his desire to stay current by continuing to learn what is new in the field of dentistry. He will not sell you on things you don't need and you can be sure that is he is offering a type of procedure in his office it has been researched to the fullest extent. Doc is personable, professional and a good person. We recently received a post card in the mail about a food drive his office was spearheading and I thought that was quite nice. I had all 4-5 teeth pulled on the same day and I felt no pain what so ever. They made sure we took small breaks in between. My flipper was ready in time for the wedding and it was PERFECT. When I was there yesterday, the doctor handed me a mirror and showed me the places in my mouth that he had some concerns with and where he was watching for future possible cavities. The 2 dentists are very different. Peters is funny, silly, and always takes the time to ask how my work is going. He really gets a kick out of telling stupid dentist jokes. Lenz is more soft spoken and never chastises me too bad for not flossing enough. The practice even had late hours one day a week (Tuesdays until 7pm I think) and opens as early as 7am on some days... Certainly makes it easier to work around a work schedule! Looking for a dentist on the west side... I definitely recommend this practice.

They play soft background music throughout the place, usually 94.9 or 98.5 kinda stuff. The waiting area is stocked with good magazines and a TV. I usually do not have to wait that long either, which must mean they run on time, a rarity in healthcare. Parking lot is great. The place is ironically adjacent to a mini strip mall with a Subway, bank, a meat market, and a gelato cafe. I recommend you visit the last place, just not right after you have your teeth cleaned; wouldn't want to ruin them so soon, right?

When we returned we had different insurance and we lived in a different part of town. Had our insurance covered the dentist I'd seen for years (in Finneytown), I'd have gone back. Thankfully our insurance didn't cover my old dentist and since we live on the West side, we found ourselves at Shiller Dental. Thank goodness! They provide amazing care. They are very thorough and honest. That honesty remake may sound odd, but I remember as a kid going to a dentist that seemed to find problems on every visit, as if each visit was a money making opportunity. Not so at Shiller. Not only is their care superior, I consider them completely trustworthy. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
