Their huge selection is just along the back wall and I don't believe I've ever seen so many herbs I was over the moon about it. They also have a really nice selection of stones and incense and beautiful little wooden boxes and storage containers for all of it. The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable when I had questions about their products. They didn't follow me around or chase me down to make sure everything was ok (thank god!), but when I went to the counter they were so helpful about what I had to ask, even providing a lot of tips and general helpful advice. It was clear that they knew what their stuff was! I will be coming back and recommending it as I can!

The ambiance inside and out, is so Portland! I went with my herbalist friend who was so excited to find the best Bitters that she's ever found. It was like a Portlandia place, which organically grew for the love of herbs, by locals with a passion for herbs, plants, stones, and book. I was especially intrigued by the glass jar of "Grounding Roots" because so many people in my life have commented on how "ungrounded I am" My herbalist friend and I checked out the "Grounding Roots", "Liver Support", "Kidney Support" and "Immune Support" blends. They are all wonderful! I bought the "Grounding Roots" and had a cup of it tonight. It is so yummy that I think it is going to be my new evening tea. I invite you to visit the Brie Patch Herbs on Sundays from 12 to 5 As the business grows, they plan to open more days and give workshops.

I appreciated how the owner encouraged customers to wear masks and stay distanced while enjoying the shop. I was a little overwhelmed as the walls are FILLED with teas, oils, tinctures and so much more. My eye was drawn to the chai area of the tea section. There were at least 5 different blends to choose from ranging from crazy spicy (I'm looking at you, turmeric chai), to more sweet with vanilla rooibos. I purchased some Firefly Chai which is a caffeine free version somewhere in between sweet and spicy. It is delicious. I spent some time finding some amazing new oil blends as well! This shop helped me get rid of horrible, itchy acne I had for 2 years that not even the dermatologists at OHSU could remedy (sure, I had to drink a special tea 3x a day, take herbal capsules 2x a day and steam a few times a week - cleared up in 2 months!). Whether you're a novice or make your own plant medicine, this is the place to go. I will note that sometimes there can be very inexperienced herbalists working on their own who won't be able to answer questions or help you find a solution. They were having a grand opening on Saturday but I was too ill to go so I went on Sunday. I explained what was happening, sore throat, congestion, headache, cough, etc... and they recommended the mint tea with CBD infusion to help with my symptoms. I ordered it and sat and drank it there while I chatted with the owners. They are also brothers so that was super cool. They said they were the only game in town and how did I hear about them since I was traveling and I said Facebook. They were kind, gracious and knowledgeable about herbs and I totally dug that. They also ship all over the country and to Canada which is cool. I shared that I also love the hibiscus plant and they recommended the tea they had so I got some to go. It's a super cute spot and I love supporting local businesses always. Wishing them all the best and I will visit them next time I'm in Portland for sure.
