The racial profiling reviews are 100% true and I'm disgusted by the behavior of the staff here. They then proceeded to be welcoming towards a white man who came in shortly after me. Every word out of her mouth was laced with passive aggression. It's honestly embarrassing that these people claim to be healers with such deeply discriminatory and disrespectful demeanors. Herbalism and spirituality is merely an aesthetic for them with none of the values that follow. Spiritual narcissists at best. If you enjoy your tea with an egregious side of pretension and want to walk out of there feeling like crap, this is the place for you. If not, I highly suggest going somewhere else. Don't be fooled by their bandaid responses to other instances like this and the one they will probably write to this one to keep their pockets lined $$$. They don't care, hence why this has occurred on multiple occasions. No amount of sage can cleanse this place. Not typically one to leave reviews, whether good or bad, but this experience was shocking. POC beware.

The ambiance inside and out, is so Portland! I went with my herbalist friend who was so excited to find the best Bitters that she's ever found. It was like a Portlandia place, which organically grew for the love of herbs, by locals with a passion for herbs, plants, stones, and book. I was especially intrigued by the glass jar of "Grounding Roots" because so many people in my life have commented on how "ungrounded I am" My herbalist friend and I checked out the "Grounding Roots", "Liver Support", "Kidney Support" and "Immune Support" blends. They are all wonderful! I bought the "Grounding Roots" and had a cup of it tonight. It is so yummy that I think it is going to be my new evening tea. I invite you to visit the Brie Patch Herbs on Sundays from 12 to 5 As the business grows, they plan to open more days and give workshops.

I appreciated how the owner encouraged customers to wear masks and stay distanced while enjoying the shop. I was a little overwhelmed as the walls are FILLED with teas, oils, tinctures and so much more. My eye was drawn to the chai area of the tea section. There were at least 5 different blends to choose from ranging from crazy spicy (I'm looking at you, turmeric chai), to more sweet with vanilla rooibos. I purchased some Firefly Chai which is a caffeine free version somewhere in between sweet and spicy. It is delicious. I spent some time finding some amazing new oil blends as well! Again, lovely place and super welcoming!

They were having a grand opening on Saturday but I was too ill to go so I went on Sunday. I explained what was happening, sore throat, congestion, headache, cough, etc... and they recommended the mint tea with CBD infusion to help with my symptoms. I ordered it and sat and drank it there while I chatted with the owners. They are also brothers so that was super cool. They said they were the only game in town and how did I hear about them since I was traveling and I said Facebook. They were kind, gracious and knowledgeable about herbs and I totally dug that. They also ship all over the country and to Canada which is cool. I shared that I also love the hibiscus plant and they recommended the tea they had so I got some to go. It's a super cute spot and I love supporting local businesses always. Wishing them all the best and I will visit them next time I'm in Portland for sure. Thank you for your help, I did feel so much better after leaving the location.
