Our car started smoking on I40 so we pulled over at the next exit, and the engine died right there (with 280,000 miles on the odometer). We were stranded with a car that "needs a new engine" in the middle of nowhere. My wife and I were immediately flooded with questions and tasks. What do we do with the kids in the carseats? Does a tow truck take you where you need to go? Does Uber come all the way out here? Who do we call to move the motorcycle trailer? Ubers wouldn't come out that far. Enterprise won't let you tow a trailer. Most tow trucks won't allow you to ride with them much less load up kids in car seats. It was a nightmare. Then BOOM! Cliff Carter and DJ to the rescue. I don't want to say that Cliff and DJ would do this for anyone that calls, but it is a story worth telling in this review. Cliff and DJ came with their personal truck and a tow truck, attached the motorcycle trailer to the pickup truck, gave us (including the kids in car seats) a ride in their pickup truck, hooked the 4Runner up to the tow truck, towed the 4Runner to a mechanic Cliff recommended and trusted (who was great), then drove us to his shop to store the motorcycle safely all while giving us recommendations of local hotels to stay at for the night, then DJ drove our family to the hotel. Unbelievable. Bear in mind we've never met these guys before. If you ever get stranded, pray it's near West Memphis, AR and call Cliff Carter Body Shop and Wrecker Service. It was late at night & these guys got there in an hour (great considering people broken down everywhere). They got the truck out of a ditch. In the process of this difficult extraction they broke the brake line: no brakes. My wife and I stayed in the area (we had to anyway because of weather) and they got the brake line replaced the next day. I was scammed out of nearly $4,000 at this location. I had my truck towed here for transmission…read moreissues; we agreed on a $2,500 quote for a new clutch and actuator, plus labor. The owner, Ben, claimed to be highly experienced and promised the job would be finished by 1:00 PM the following day. When I followed up the next day, he claimed the truck wasn't fixed despite "installing the new parts" and said he was pulling the transmission back out. I immediately told him to stop all work. When I inspected the truck myself, it was obvious that the transmission bolts hadn't been touched and there was no sign of any labor being performed. When I asked for receipts or the source of the "new parts," he made excuses and eventually told me to leave the shop. The police were called, but they informed me it was a civil matter and that I had to pay the bill to get my truck back. They only accept Cash or Cash App, specifically to prevent customers from disputing the fraudulent charges. To make matters worse, when I finally towed my truck out, my batteries were scattered and the key was missing. After moving the truck to a reputable shop, the mechanics confirmed that no work had been done. Upon opening the transmission, they found a broken clutch spring and zero new parts. This ordeal cost me nearly $10,000 in total damages, including the lost revenue from being unable to deliver my load on time. They also damaged my backlight in the process. I hope this review prevents someone else from being robbed the way I was. Avoid this place at all costs.

We got the parts out there and had our truck towed to there shop and they first told me it would take 14hrs to replace parts than gave me a time it should have been ready by but all day I called and emailed and the person name George said he wasn't at the shop was on a run and would find out for me but never got a clear answer just said still working on it. I tried emailing as well got no response than I get an email from them and it was just the attached invoice asking for payment I asked if it was done they said yes. My driver got to shop and it was not done they were still working on it and couldn't even get it to start. I called the number back it sounded like the same exact guy who said his name was George but now he said his name was Robert and said the batteries were dead and had to charge them. I asked about the email and who sent it he said his boss must have but when I asked for his name he didn't tell me. After 3hrs they finally told my driver it's ready and had him do test run real quick and had him pay. Next morning I get in office I get an email hours after driver paid saying they took off 2hrs of labor and sent a new invoice and than my driver calls and he only go 120mi away and broke down again with same issues from the very beginning. I tried calling and emailing them no answer than I asked about how to go about getting the difference of the balance paid back to us and didn't get anything on that. I found a different number for them I called and that number directed me back to George who when I told him what happened he said our clutch we sent was probably bad and it happens. I asked about money and he said he would see what he could do and never called me back or answered my calls or emails. My truck had to get towed again to a different shop where they found that nothing was wrong with new clutch or even my starter and said it was the slay cylinder that was leaking pretty bad and has been for awhile now. They got my truck going and has not had any problems. With both shops and tows we paid almost $3700.00 majority of that was from the first shop who did not fix my truck and still has not answered any of our calls or emails.

Going there via I55, passing Marion Arkansas at exit 10, they had a blowout...I contacted Melvin Mcdowell and he diligently searched for a tire...spent a lot of time and energy trying to help them resolve the tire issue...after the tire issue was resolved and my people were on the road several miles into the trip by this time on I-40 west, they had serious problems...Melvin Mcdowell (the owner) went to them, got them off the road, and safely into a motel...then the next day assisted them in getting back to his shop, and then, went far way above and beyond expectations in helping them to find the part needed, even to the point of driving over 100 miles one way to meet myself so he could have the correct part to do the repair. He then worked diligently until after midnight to get my driver back on the road...I have never experience a better, more honest, and proficient not only as a person, but as a repair shop...it was at time frustrating due to happenings by parts store, that was out of the shops control. He treated us with utmost respect and I cannot thank him enough...his price was below what was expected and service and kindness exceeds all...I recommend this business to anyone in need of real people offering real service....
