For a non-regular veterinary appointment, the cost is reasonable, and they take a proactive approach to diagnostics without going overboard with expense. While I hope I don't have to see them on a regular basis, I've happily driven the 30+ minutes each way and will continue to do so when something occurs outside of my vet's regular business hours. They need to tell you an approximate wait time when you get there. Had I been told that the wait time was almost 3 hours, I would have left immediately.

They're not confused & they don't wander around the house looking for their family member. The comfort this brings them is priceless. Fortunately, I have an amazing friend who took Lily in and loved her for her final weeks. It's never easy to know when it's the right, compassionate time to say goodbye, but the signs were there. It's a wrenching choice, you want more time to say goodbye, yet you also want to end their suffering. We agreed at home euthanasia was the right choice; being able to say goodbye and cry in peace was more of a comfort. Especially in the time of Covid. I called a few places and Last Kiss said they could come on a Sunday, so we scheduled the appointment. Dr Sarah said she'd let us know when she was on her way and did. We took care of a few things over text like paw prints and ashes. When she arrived, she explained the process and didn't rush us to start or to wrap things up. She was great with my friend's children and other pets who were there with us. No pet owner wants this day to come, but it's nice to know services like this exist.

Dr.Keith Merritt saved a white thoroughbred I was share boarding. The horse had pulled a tendon…read moreand his owner decided to put him down. Dr. Keith told me he could save the horse with a new therapy called Shock Wave Therapy. I was attached to the horse so the owner released the horse to me and Dr. Keith started the Shock Wave treatment. The amazing thing was that unlike any other therapy, the Shock waves stimulated healing and the tendon heals with vertical flexibility so the horse is like new. Other therapies created horizontal scar tissue bands that decrease flexibility. Long story short I am indebted to Dr. Keith forever. I had many years on trail after that with my Shadow and he was so happy when he healed and could run and play and do trails with no limp, no pain, and perfect strength in that tendon! This clinic could save so many horses if only people knew about it. First she was on another call, second was she was at lunch, third time she was working from home. Not sure why working from home is an excuse to not return a call. Only after my husband went to the office did anything actually happen. Even then, my husband still had to follow-up. It was such a disappointing experience because they are good vets, but there are A LOT of excellent vets in the area that DON'T give clients the runaround & cause even more anxiety during an already scary situation like surgical colic.

That is half the cost of one of those more up-to-date, portable, changeable GPS fencing systems by Halo or Cesar Millan. In hindsight, I should've purchased one of those systems first instead of wasting my money on the Invisible Fence brands.
