A complimentary paw print to keep Cleo's memories with us forever.

A big thanks to Dr. Jessica Kriner from Compasionnate Heart who helped us with the peaceful transition for Cleo at the comfort of our own home and brought her back today. Thanks for being very respectful and understanding .

After 4 years of our cat battling chronic kidney failure we made the hard decision to put him down at 15 years old. Dr. Jessica was such a gift to me during this experience. She explained everything and was kind and compassionate. Letting your beloved pet pass away peacefully in the calm of your home is a great gift. I appreciate all they do to ensure our best friends crossover peacefully.

After giving him an allergy shot, Niko's eye got worse and it started to bleed. We went to the Animal Hospital of Streamwood and they were confused why ACC gave Niko an allergy shot. They said if we waited any longer, he would've need surgery. As a pet owner you never want to hear this. I spoke to Sherry on the phone and she did not seem to care, she just asked for what hospital so they could understand what medication helped Niko. Clearly this vet should not be preforming on critical injuries since they weren't sure what to give my dog. They just took a risk on my precious dog.

As for the veterinarian Chris Schelkopf he will be reported for not only completely stepping over boundaries, Rude and ignorant comments he made to us as not only future parents but life long dog owners. This man should be ashamed of himself and our dog Denali was just at her vet a week ago prior, she did not react this way simply because this man she senses is bad news. I would not put anything you love in this man's hands and we are taking action to make sure he does not treat any animal or human the way we were treated today. I would be more then happy to discuss further with the owner of this ACC how your "veterinarian" Chris Schelkopf DVM, I am also 7 months pregnant and this man had the nerve to comment on me being a parent and also my dog being a bad dog. FYI my dog has never ever reacted this way with any of vet before, only this guy. Get rid of him.

Every single appointment we have had with Dr. Gilham has been truly awful, she does not read our pets history, has misdiagnosed her, claimed she had visible cancer masses then immediately tested her (surprise, they weren't cancerous) and pushed medications that our dog was allergic to that she previously prescribed. However, the appointments we have had with Dr. Stone have been truly incredible. She will get on the floor with your dog and shower them with love and attention and takes all of your concerns into consideration. She is truly amazing and I adore the care she gives to our animals. Dr. Lexi Meverden is newer to us but has been truly amazing as well. I cannot say enough good things about her or Dr. Gilbertson.

Had two 12 MONTH scripts written JUST 3 months ago for my two furry animals for heartworm meds . Went to fill the heartworm medicine and Red Barn DECLINED BOTH simply because ONLY ONE of them was due for heartworm test next month????? Just had them in on Feb. 27th for wellness exams and shots. Brought TWO fecal samples. Why didn't they test then like every other vet? The answer is because this way they could force us in again and their prices have increased. I didn't even realize they weren't done. WHY DID I GET TWO 12 MTH. SCRIPTS FOR INTERCEPTOR if they weren't done??? Who the heck do they think they are canceling BOTH scripts when only one dog is due? Who does that? This office "manager" and front office girls could give a crap about the pets. What were they going to do I was going to bring my one dog in and then they suddenly would give me two prescriptions one for each dog or were they going to force me to bring both in? I wouldn't go back to this place if you paid me in 10 months from April 2023 to February 2024 I spent over $3,800 with them. They should get rid of these women who could give a darn about the pets and get vet techs for the front office like all the other vets do. They're cheaper, less freaking attitude, and they love animals. This so-called office manager didn't comply when I requested the doctor call me and I could think of quite a few different ways she could handle this so much better which would have stayed within the guidelines of Red Barn but most importantly would have kept my pets heartworm medicine!!!!!! FOLLOW UP NOW 5 DAYS LATER I just went on to take screenshots of my 12-month prescriptions and I see that they just issued one month for both dogs without calling me because they saw one of the reviews I left and this way they could write that they do care about the animals. What a joke!!! How the heck was I supposed to know the scripts were even there. They're just trying to cover their butts. Be careful if you go here honestly find a different vet there's so many good ones out there I simply went to them because they were conveniently close which was a big big mistake. The nickel dime you to death. Make sure when you bring in fecal samples they do something with them. Also, just talked to Covetrus and they were told that both of my dogs were due for heartworm testing which is a blatant lie.

My two tiny Maltese, Brinley and Baylin (only 3 and 4 pounds!), have always been treated with the utmost gentleness and care. Dr. Sonny is wonderful -- not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so warm and personable. He always remembers all our names, even though my girls look almost identical! Every doctor and staff member there is the same way: compassionate, kind, and truly dedicated. They've even called me on a Sunday with test results, which says everything about their commitment. If I could give more than five stars, I would -- Bowes Animal Hospital is simply the best. Thank you, Dr. Sonny and the entire team, for treating Brinley and Baylin like family and for always going above and beyond to keep them healthy and happy. On May 22, we came in for a pre-surgery consultation at this clinic, and the actual surgery took place on May 30. Naturally, I was very nervous about how my dog would handle anesthesia, especially since during his neutering (at a different clinic in Texas), he had a really rough time coming out of it -- disoriented and stumbling for almost a full day. But this time was completely different. I dropped him off in the morning and picked him up just four hours later -- and to my relief, he was already alert and doing much better than I expected. The staff was incredibly kind, gentle, and caring throughout the entire process. I want to give special thanks to Dr. Sunny Jain, who performed the surgery, and nurse Oksana, who kept me updated and even sent me photos of my dog as he was waking up from anesthesia. That level of care meant the world to me. Today, two weeks later, we came back to have the stitches removed. Oksana was just as professional and compassionate -- she cleaned the incision area, removed the sutures carefully, and gave me clear instructions on how to monitor and care for the wound. We've been bringing our pets to this hospital for years now, and once again, I'm extremely happy with the care we received. Highly recommend this place to any pet owner looking for a trusted, experienced, and kind team.
