We sold some drinks, handed out surveys and received free drinks and admission. Walking up to the place it appears very workshop bohemian with artists and studios setting up a beautiful atmosphere. The theatre itself is quite small, or intimate, with the actors in "Orpheus Descending" by Tennessee Williams practically having to step over us which was a bit nerve-racking but exhilarating. At the end we were able to talk with the actors and the stage manager which made us feel much cooler than we are. We must try and go again - as paying customers this time!

Was all in German, which I don't speak, but since I knew the story I was able to follow. The space was in a permanent circus tent. Nice AC which seems rare for Berlin. There were poles right in front of the stage but only blocked view now and then. It was cool to hear rain on the tents at one point. We opted for the three course meal which was good for a banquet-style meal. Appreciated the vegetarian option. Service was good considering the amount of tables per person. Only thing I would change is how the payment worked at the end - people rushed the server and it took a long time to settle and get out.

Schokoladen rules!…read more This is a venue that keeps things real. The bookers are legit, always bringing in awesome bands (both local and from afar). The space is intimate but still not too small. The price is always right. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the people who work there and go there are lovely folks. Although the shows are earlier than most venues, it's nice to have some kind of consistency to rely upon. Keep supporting this place because it does a lot of good things for Berlin music.

They mixed German and English which, as an English speaker, I liked. The storytelling itself was quite odd. It was almost like the mystical, nonsensical nature of a cirque show but still odd. From what I gathered there's a photographer who lost his 'muse' as well as time and a 4th character who I couldn't discern what her name is. It's also much more of a singing/can-can performance than stunts like acrobatics.

I can here for what was a pretty traditional rock concert by Einstürzende Neubauten. The building…read moreitself is beautiful. An old brick building that has been fixed up with lots of modern glass. The show started promptly on time (not used to that kind of ting in the States) and the sound was amazing. All of the seating is on pretty big risers so it's relatively easy for everyone in the audiance to see even at a sold at show. Tickets were a little bit expensive by US standards and the New Years part of the evening was a dude (though the concert was great). Not sure who is responsible for that. Nice views of the river as well from inside.

Wasted 1.5 hour today because they where unable to change currency from Danish krones to Euro so I could play. This has never been an issue I'm any part of the world I have played before (100+ casinos) and I have changed DKK to Euro there the 5 previous times I Was there this year. Their management should wake up and see how the employees of this business slowly but surely is ruining what once was a great casino. I will not be coming back again, and will take my business else where
