Honestly if you're coming here come with some experience already. The ones with no experience they…read moredon't care how you do. Also DO NOT take your Nate certification here go to a local supply house. They don't give you a study guide to study from, they just give you a boat of homework quizzes you have to do to study from. Horrible experience the owner was rude and nasty. If it wasn't for my job I would have never attended. Please save your money there are better alternatives then this. I got my certificate from passing my electrical class thrown in my face by the owner. No exaggeration.

This is a very nice facility- in fact they really do try to teach you as much as they can- honestly…read morethough after attending for two weeks and getting an EPA certificate as well I can only say that IF you're able to cram about 4 yrs of information along with the after school work requirements into your head and deal with some of the staffs sarcasm and hands off approach to "learning" then this is the place for you! I was impressed when I arrived but only a matter of days until some of the instructors true colors come out. You can ask as many questions as you want during the labs but you will not get any hands on help. If you don't know how to use something then you will have to rely on a classmate and hope that they can help or suffer the prospect of failing. After a few days I felt as if I was a bother to everyone EXCEPT the owner and his wife- two of the most wonderful people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting-again- this is a nice idea for those who enjoy "here's your book, read 7 chapters and take the quiz tonight" type of learning. Didn't necessarily work for me.

***This is long, if you are considering this school PLEASE read to the end!***…read moreLet me start by saying the instructors that I had while in the program were amazing. The instructors were experienced and working as dental assistants, very friendly, laid back (within a reasonable expectation), and were willing to help in any way they could. The student representative was very helpful also. He sent out reminders and notifications regarding school updates and job opportunities. The reason I gave them three stars is because of what they DID NOT tell me BEFORE I enrolled. Below are things I believe that anyone considering this school should know. 1.) There are things that dental offices will prefer you to know that you will NOT learn how to do in this course because there is NOT a licensed dentist on site. Those two things are coronal polishing and nitrous oxide administration. IF you are lucky a dentist will allow you to do coronal polishing at your externship site. Some dentist will not allow this. You can take a nitrous oxide course after completing this program, but that can cost you a couple hundred dollars after you pay for this program. 2.) This is NOT a CODA accredited school. That means several things, but specifically with this school it means that a LICENSED dentist will have to sign the form for you to take the state board exam to become a registered dental assistant in the state of Arkansas. Unless you are able to get the dentist at your externship site to sign the form you are pretty much out of luck unless a dental office is willing to hire you without being registered. With this school not being CODA accredited it also means that you cannot take the DANB exam to become nationally certified straight out of school. Also, some dental offices require potential employees to have graduated from a CODA accredited school. 3.) The dental assisting field is saturated pretty much statewide. As a result MOST dental offices are looking for potential employees to have AT LEAST 1 year experience in the field. This makes it very difficult to get an interview much less a job. I finished this program and got registered nearly five months ago and have yet to get a single interview. Many of my former classmates that I have been in contact with are in the same situation. I want people to know that it could be a long time before they find work in this field after finishing school and getting registered.
