The staff is very knowledgeable, and they quickly learn your dog by name. In addition to the therapy they provide for dogs, I started taking horseback riding lessons. I'm so impressed with how the trainers make you feel and help your confidence while riding. They also do lessons for kids as young as 5. The boarders at the facility are kind and considerate. The horses are cool too. I always recommend them for dogs and horse back riding lessons to all my friends. Make sure to look for events they put on for the community as well, like the Easter Biscuit Hunt!

I decided to get them both into the training program, and we have seen exponential growth with both of them (Especially for my spooky overreactive horse). This isn't just a place to board your horses, it's more like a community of like-minded people. The women who run this place are extremely supportive and make you feel like you're part of a family. Also, the indoor arena and the panel walker are game changers for continuing to work with your horses in the winter. At affordable prices, I'm thrilled with our overall experience here and would recommend them to anyone who needs a safe and friendly place to board their horses.

My wife and I scheduled a meet-and-greet with Julie by text. We drove 45 minutes to get to the…read more"resort," but Julie wasn't there. Her husband, Todd, walked over from his shop to greet us. He new nothing of our appointment and seemed a bit confused and unfocused. He asked twice if we were there to drop off our dog, even after we told him we were there only to meet Julie and see the premises. We asked Todd if we could see the part of the house where our dog would be kept, away from other boarded animals. He said we could not enter that part of the house because two other dogs were staying there. We then told Todd we'd be happy to look in through the window. Todd declined again, saying cagily that he would have to "rearrange" some things. So, after driving 45 minutes with a confirmed appointment, we neither were able to meet the primary caregiver nor see the room where our dog would be staying. Julie texted us after we left to say she had forgotten the date. In ordinary circumstances this would be disturbing. After all, we would be entrusting our pet -- and her feeding and medication schedule -- to someone who apparently cannot manage her own schedule. (We just saw another Yelp review which reported the same thing.) And, Todd's unwillingness to let us look through a window into a room where two dogs supposedly were being boarded is highly suspicious. These circumstances were all the more troubling because before scheduling the visit I spoke to Julie at length about a bad experience my wife and I had with another home-based boarding service. On that occasion, the primary caregiver at the boarding facility refused to meet us and refused our request to see the interior of the building. Julie agreed that our experience with this other facility was very troubling and not acceptable -- and then she and her husband put us through virtually the same thing!!

In Loving Memory of My Beautiful Chloe…read more On September 2, 2026, I said goodbye to my beautiful girl, Chloe. Almost 20 years of love, companionship, adventures, and the sweetest snuggles, and somehow it still doesn't feel like nearly enough time. Chloe was a rescue from the streets of Compton who came to live with me in San Clemente. She quickly became a very special part of my life. We even spent our summers together on our sailboat, anchored on a mooring off Catalina Island. She was quite the little sailor and loved being part of whatever adventure I was on. Chloe was fun-loving, athletic, curious, incredibly affectionate, and one of the most loving kitties I have ever known. She had the temperament of a dog. She loved everyone she met, and everyone seemed to love her right back. She was happiest curled up beside me, giving love, getting attention, and simply being wherever I was. As Chloe grew older and her health began to fail, Dr. Megan Dunbar walked beside us for more than a year. She patiently coached me through her kidney disease, helped me understand what to expect, and supported me through some of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. Dr. Megan is truly a Godsend, and I will forever be grateful for the compassion and care she gave my girl. My heart is broken, and I miss Chloe more than words can ever say. Nearly 20 years is a lifetime of memories, but when you love someone this deeply, no amount of time ever feels like enough. Thank you, my sweet Chloe, for choosing me all those years ago. Thank you for every cuddle, every silly moment, every adventure, and every bit of unconditional love. You will forever be a part of my heart. Bye for now, my beautiful girl. Until we meet again... run free, sweet Chloe.

Dr. Conner at Constant Companion was an absolute blessing during the hardest time of my life…read more My dog was diagnosed with a terminal neurological condition two months ago. She was not in pain, but her condition changed minute to minute--sometimes worse, sometimes better--depending on progression and medication response. Deciding when to let her go was incredibly difficult. What I knew without hesitation was that, due to her severe stress at the vet, I did not want her final moments to be anywhere but home. Unfortunately, securing an at‑home appointment isn't always easy, and my biggest fear was that her condition would suddenly decline and I wouldn't be able to get someone to my house in time--forcing her last moments to be spent frightened at a clinic. Dr. Conner completely removed that fear and stress. She worked around our needs, scheduled appointments with incredible flexibility, and canceled or adjusted them without guilt or pressure. Her number one concern was always my little girl's comfort and dignity. That flexibility gave me the greatest gift anyone could offer in this situation--the ability to make the right decision at the right time, without the added stress of trying to force such a deeply personal moment into an external calendar beyond my control. Dr. Conner's compassion, patience, and understanding meant everything to us. I will forever be grateful.
