So I pasted that review below this one, which is my 2nd visit to the Spa. This time around, not only was I greeted at the main entrance and provided with my Aescape massage outfit, but Arnold from the Spa greeted me at the front and walked me back to the Spa and got me all set up for my 2nd robot massage. Once again, I loved it! So this time around, I opted for the upper back and shoulders massage. The table remembered my settings from the last time so I didn't have to go through those steps again [it does give you the option to make adjustments though]. After body scan it got to work focusing on the knots in my shoulders - in addition to the ability to adjust the pressure throughout the massage, you could also 'heart' on the screen at any point of the massage that you loved, I would imagine so the robot knew to keep doing that or maybe a little extra focus. 30 minutes well spent and I got a 20% offer to come back next time. This time around the Spa desk was fully manned. ***my review from the Equinox Gym page *** My review is for the Aescape massage provided by Equinox. I saw an ad for the Aescape robot massage while scrolling Facebook - Aescape places these massage machines in different gyms and spas, so I picked the Equinox in Aventura since it was the closest. Check-in at the main gym front entrance was quick and pleasant , but once I got to the desk in the spa area it took a minute to find anyone to actually help me. Eventually someone showed me to the room and had me change into the little fitted top and bottom they provide. You also take off your shoes and jewelry and put your hair up so the machine arms don't get caught. Everything is computerized [no surprise there] When you lie face-down, there's basically an iPad-esque screen right under you. From this screen you pick your massage style, pressure, focus areas, ambiance music, adjust the table... all of it. Then the machine scans your body to map out your stress points like it's building a strategic plan for your back. FYI -- if you move, even a little, the machine pauses until you're back in position. I chose the full-body massage with extra attention on my shoulders. Each section had phases -- a warm-up, the main massage, and a cooldown. You can skip past any section if you want and adjust pressure at any time. Now, my mind kept flashing to every robot movie I've ever seen but honestly? This was one of the best massages I've had. The machine knew exactly where my shoulder knots were hiding. When I finished, there was nobody at the tiny spa desk again, so I just quietly walked out. Wasn't sure what else to do lol I give the massage itself 5 stars, but took one off because the spa area felt completely unattended both when I walked in and when I walked out. I wasn't even sure if I was supposed to check out with someone or just disappear into the sunset I will say I recall the person who helped me saying it was a relatively new addition to the gym [I think], and I did receive a follow up text asking about my experience. For the price [$19 to $$29] it cant be beat. I'm definitely going back, not just for the cost though but because that massage actually got the knots out of my shoulders!

Pampering I must say!…read more I have been coming to the Hand and Stone Miami Lakes for a few years now. I have been a member on and off a few times. I can't seem to stay away. My original Facial Girl left a bit after Covid... but I've been seeing Claudia! ( but all the techs are amazing) Claudia would be my preferred she is just amazing and knowledgeable. She analyzes the skin and provides options on the services that my skin may benefit. My skin is VERY sensitive so many times I'll choose for the sensitive skin care products ( that's like $20-$30 additional upgrade) . The facial includes extraction of white/black heads, scrubs, moisturizer. Even an upper chest /shoulder massage. I tend to always fall into " I want to get pampered" so I tend to upgrade my services. Facials I will upgrade with something like the LED light (red or blue) I have requested combination and the tech has accommodated my needs with both!! I've upgraded my facials cold stones that feels amazing and helps with puffy/redness. (Me) As for my Massages my lady is no doubt Lydia! She is excellent! She will ask on your expectations and she knows how to target the tense shoulders! She is firm but won't leave you sore. Oh! With my facial service last week with Claudia I mentioned to her if any services that could be added for my sore feet. She recommended the "Foot Treatment" that targets tired soles and restore step. That includes a foot scrub, massage with lotion. ( totally helped me) I would recommend as an added service. Back to Massages... well I have upgraded my massages with CBD oil , aromatherapy, hot stones (amazing) . Highly recommend adding the mini or the Himalayan Salt Stone. Feels so healing! At the end of the service you are offered water or tea. The front desk girls are friendly. Parking free and plenty near the front door. Also they have accommodating hours Sunday-Saturday 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm. So it works with busy schedules and preferences on the relaxation time. If you can it's definitely worth becoming a member! The points earned are an extra bonus to add services!

All the favorites are still there -- sauna, infrared, cold plunge -- all the good, restorative things -- but the expanded backyard creates such a beautiful, elevated vibe. The meditation room is absolutely perfect: cozy, grounding, and so peaceful you genuinely forget you're in the middle of Fort Lauderdale. From the moment I walked in, the team was warm and welcoming. Sasha greeted me with such kindness, setting the tone immediately. My therapist, Esteban, gave me a 90-minute deep tissue massage that was exactly what I needed. I walked in carrying so much stress I'm convinced my shoulders were practically up by my ears -- and he truly worked the muscles and joints with intention. Not a fluffy, oil-and-elbows massage, but real, therapeutic bodywork that made a difference. It felt like a little piece of heaven tucked inside the city. I love that they also host monthly events supporting artists -- such a thoughtful touch. I don't know why I don't come here more often, but I'm officially committed to changing that. Absolutely amazing experience. Can't wait to go back.

Edit: UPDATED REVIEW…read more I was in contact with the leadership team from Now Massage and we discussed the concerns. The leadership team was very responsive to my experience. I went back this morning for another massage with another therapist, as my initial appointment may have been a one/off experience. And it DEFINITELY was a one off experience. Today I was with Ivan. What an amazing massage. He was on point from the initial meeting through the end of the massage, continually checking in and working through the knots in each muscle group I had tightness in. It left me feeling refreshed and wished I could have spent more time with him. Definitely a place to try when in Miami or go to frequently if you live here. And while they have a vast team, I recommend Ivan. I look forward to my next massage with him. Previous massage: The massage was just okay. The massage felt more like using pressure point rather than a traditional massage. I did clarify with the staff that I selected the correct massage package and they confirmed I did. The facility itself doesn't have extra amenities like a steam room or sauna, but they did an amazing job decorating the massage area! As others mentioned it is a common space area, with curtains in between each treatment area. It certainly provides privacy but if you are someone who must have a room with walls and a door this may not be your place. The price I thought was average for the massage and facility. I did add a star because the front desk team was genuinely concerned about my experience and did a good job in trying to make it as right as they could. This could be a one off for the massage since others rave about it, but this is what I noticed.
