Lindsey, one of the volunteers who also lives in our neighborhood, put us on to Tipper. She is an absolute gem. She has the best house manners and looks super healthy. Honestly I understand what they are doing, and the idea is great. But they are not the ones who should be doing it. First, the location is behind a house, so it feels a little sketchy. Second, once inside the actual building for the animas, it's pretty gross. It truly feels like a few people got together and had an idea and decided to go for it in an old building and some fencing. Also, the lady who "talked" to us was quite rude. Maybe she was having a bad day, but still. All in all, I would much rather see these animals go to an actual shelter, be advertised more, and truly given a fighting chance to get into a good home. I can't see it being here. read more

I adopted my cat Birdie from here in 2021. I never remembered to leave a review, but it's not too late because it still sticks with me. Immediately after adopting her, she became sick. She was having sneezing fits and had a lot of snot bubbles and mucus. I contacted the shelter and they said they would help me with vet bills since I had just taken her home. After taking her to the vet, I reached back out, and this shelter ghosted me. I wouldn't recommend this place at all, especially knowing that they kept her fostered in a small closet which absolutely led to her having anxiety issues. I love this cat with my whole heart, but I'm still bummed about how she was treated by this shelter. read more

Let me first start off by saying wow. I have literally never once had this bad of an experience at an animal shelter in my life. I honestly could not even fathom recommending this place to someone. Not only is the facility hard to find, but it is disgusting. They are only open a few hours a day and the dogs are basically kept in kennels all day alone. To include, there was urine everywhere like it hadn't been cleaned in the main office area. Literally the first thought that came to my mind was how long of a bath I was gonna need to give the dog we adopted to get the grossness off of him and make sure he was cleaned properly. Guarantee he hadn't had a bath in a while. Cute dog, but needed a bath hardcore. Secondary to all this we went there expecting to bring a wonderful dog home and give it the life it deserves with our other dog who's 13yo. Give him a companion since he outlived the last one a couple years ago. Went there for the dogs to meet and everything went well. The two interacted very well and things were off and sailing. Filled out the application and was told, "oh btw it's a 2-6 day wait on your application." Meanwhile the dog we were trying to take out of there was living in literal piss and his leash was being ran through it as well. Me being IMHO a pretty good dog Dad being that I've had animals my whole life and I love all of them to bits. I was sent an email in the middle of the night telling me that basically I wasn't a good fit for a dog that I would have MORE THAN provided for in every capacity. Furthermore, Through the tone of voice from the lady I spoke to in person at the shelter nearing the end of our visit and filling out paperwork, implied with her very rude tone, that I was basically a shitty parent to our dog because he wasn't 100% up to date on his shots. Which is not a big deal at all. And I even said okay, I will correct it and provide documentation tmro morning after I take my current dog to get vaccinated. I literally made the appointment from my phone right there in the lobby after talking with her. Apparently this wasn't good enough and basically I was told via midnite email that I, "would not provide a thriving environment for the dog we wanted to adopt." Basically calling me a shitty dog parent and I take tremendous insult from this. 100% do NOT recommend this facility. read more

I cannot give this rescue a better review. They work through blood sweat and tears to keep this place going, and do a hell of a job! I've adopted from them, and will continue to help their mission! They run solely on volunteers, and it's seriously impressive how loved those babies are! It's sad that people want to ruin such a lovely mission out of spite! I hope they continue to save lives, and educate people on the importance of spay/neuter, and vaccinating their animals! God bless you all! read more

I have adopted a cat from here 4 years ago and thought the animals were so well taken care of and the process was so transparent that when we were ready to adopt a dog I went straight back to them. We have had our pup for two years and I just keep forgetting to write a review! I highly recommend adopting from this rescue! read more

Words can't describe how amazing this place is! They truly love each and every animal that comes through their doors. They go above and beyond to make sure each one goes to a home that will truly be it's forever. Not to mention you would never know this place is an animal rescue by how clean it is inside. The floors were so clean and the place smelled so lovely and refreshing, like lavender. It makes my heart so happy to know such a rescue exists. read more

I am a volunteer at this rescue last 2 plus years ! My husband and I adopted two dogs from this rescue for dogs and cats in last 2 years as well! This organization ROCKS! Great bunch of hard working volunteers too! We have dogs, pups, cats and kittens, all fully vetted of course. We went to a Thursday adoption event an found a beautiful Yellow Lab pup for my mom. We put a deposit down on the dog and was told they would send her on Monday to get her fixed and complete her shots. On Monday they call and told us the sister pup had Parvo and they would need to keep both dogs and treat them both. during the week we received several messages stating the dog was great on e day then the next they were doing really bad. Well to make a long story short, we got the dreaded call that the pup we had adopted had passed away and they we putting our deposit in the mail. The same day we were told that, we go online to look at other pups they might have up for adoption and see the pup we had actually adopted was given to another family and they posted a picture of her saying (Thanks for the pup, we love her!) They had actually given the puppy away the very next day after we had adopted her, but came up with this elaborate scheme about the dog was sick and dying. WHY would do this, im not quite sure...SMH read more
