I placed an order on 22nd June with Heaton's
Department Store and paid for it using the Buy4Now checkout procedure. A confirmation email was received shortly
afterwards and another email was received on the 25th June saying my
order had been dispatched. A few days later I called to Heatons to enquire about my
order and was told it had arrived but when the shop assistant went off to
collect it, I had to wait for almost half an hour for her to return, only to be
told that there was a mistake and my order had not arrived. I phoned the following morning and still no
sign of my order. I waited until Monday
2nd July and when there was still no order I emailed Heatons and
Buy4Now to cancel my order and requested a refund and below is a copy of the
response I received. "We have discovered
that your order is en route to the Laois store and will be there by tomorrow/Wednesday at the latest.
I'm very sorry for the lack of communication which have led to your anger at
our service, it genuinely is not usual for our deliveries to take so long.
I will process the refund for you in the morning."I was disappointed at not receiving my order but I never
vent anger at anybody in an email so I don't know where she got the impression
that I was angry. The person who sent the
email didn't even get the spelling of my name correctly and I am still waiting
for my refund. I sent two more emails today (4th July) and
requested "read" receipts for both of them.
Needless to say neither party had
the courtesy to respond to me.So much for "We are committed to offering you the highest
level of customer service and you can expect your order to be delivered within
the next few days"... not so. read more
