There's the Heathrow Express, which is advertised at the airport and station a lot more clearly than its sister the Connect. The Express goes directly from the airport to Paddington and takes roughly 15 minutes, whereas Connect stops at multiple stations, picking up people/dropping them off along the way. Follow the signs for the Express, and you'll be just about where you need to be for the Connect. The trains are clean and you're not dealing with the general crowds of the London tube, so it's a relief when you're carrying luggage and just want to sit back and relax a bit after/before a flight and during the commute. I decided to give both a try to see how they compare with each other, and I'm glad I did. The Heathrow Express is even nicer, but that's also reflected in the price tag of 22 pounds; the Connect is about half that price, but also takes about twice as long. Either way though, you'll have to drag and carry your luggage around a bit to get to the platforms, but it's not as extensive as taking the tube and carrying them around flights of stairs. If you're traveling solo, both the Express and Connect are the better financial options over hailing a cab to central London. However, if you're in a group, hailing a cab and dividing the fair could still be the most convenient and worth it.

(Being German, I'm way early anyway, so I can comfortable squeeze in that extra 15 minutes.) Both Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect leave from Paddington Station. Yet while the former is very easy to find, the latter is less obviously advertised throughout the station. Let me tell you where to find it: Platform 12! Make sure you get the tickets before heading to the platform though - you can buy them from the normal National Rail ticket machines. Life in the fast lane - not always my preferred choice!

They arrived at about 4:15 a.m. causing the hotel to wake me. The message was passed on about the correct time. They elected not to arrive at all. To time it right, if you order the cab upon landing is usually quite good -- you can also give them your flight number and they'll arrange to be there shortly after the flight confirms its touchdown at LHR. I arrived exhausted on a busy Saturday afternoon and needed a car. Not willing to pay 80 quid for a black cab or brave yet another train/tube combo, I pulled up my Kabbee app and found Airport Direct. Within a minute I received confirmation. It would've been helpful to know the process of airport pickup (I'm obviously not well educated!) -- but here you have it. They'll confirm your car via text. Then the driver will go park and then meet you by arrivals with your name on an ipad or notepad. They'll escort you to the car and you'll be on your way. If you are in Terminal 1 -- this will be near Costa Coffee. I had to call to make sure as I was confused, and the girl on the line was really helpful. For 42 quid -- I made it home, the driver was very nice, helped me with my bags the whole way. He was a safe driver, asked me if I'd like the music up, didn't make unnecessary conversation (I think he could tell I was beat!) and offered to help me with my bags to the door, too. Will ring them next time I'm sitting agitated in immigration so I can bust on outta there!

I called customer support and they wouldn't help without my booking number, which just wasn't handy at the sidewalk pickup spot. I found the driver's phone number in the app, and called him for his status. All he said was "traffic man, what can I do" then hung up on me. When he did arrive he was clearly in no hurry, almost intentionally, despite how close we were to departure time. It is apparent that these folks don't care. A very similar thing happened on my last trip with them. They used to be dependable, but no more. I recommend finding another option for car service.

I had prebooked a taxi with your company to take me and my 80yr old disabled mum to the emirates stadium as we were going to see Robbie in concert. I knew transport was going to be issue so chose what I thought was a reputable company, how wrong was I, to PREBOOK and PAY for our journeys to take the STRESS out of the evening, ensuring we would be able to safely get back to our hotel at the docklands. The pick up journey taking us to the Emirates from the docklands, was amazing and the driver was super helpful and professional and I thought I'd definitely made the right choice in booking with your company. However how wrong could I be.  We arranged to meet the taxi at Holloway station at 0004 as it gave us enough time to exit the stadium and ensure we could get to the collection point in plenty of time. When it got to 0004 I called the office after fighting past an automated bot to speak to a call handler to ask where our taxi was, as I hadn't had any correspondence from your company since I made the booking, yet for the pick up I had messages to let me know my driver was on their way etc. This woman stated that they didn't have a driver available for our pick up and would keep us updated. Now if I had been calling to book a taxi immediately that made perfect sense, BUT I had PREBOOKED & PAID for collection at 0004. when I asked the call handler what she meant she said, we dont have any drivers free for your booking. Now again this was PREBOOKED on the 6th June 24 hrs before we needed the taxi.  I explained that this was for an 80yr disabled lady with a mobility scooter hence why I PREBOOKED so that the vehicle could take the scooter. I then got told to make my own provision to get back to my hotel. So your company were happy to leave 2 women, one of which is 80yrs and disabled, to find their own way across London in the middle of the night.  I dont understand how you can get away with scamming people to pay upfront for a PREBOOKING then just not fulfil the booking.  I will be sharing this awful experience all across.my social media and especially the disability groups advising them to never use use your company as its appalling that your staff treated an 80yr disabled person like this, what if it was their mother or nan who had been left stranded, would they have been happy. Your company was willing to leave 2 females stranded in London, at that time of night with no care at all, but of course why would you when you had my money in your bank already. Thankfully a traditional London black cabby was able to help us and also confirm that this isn't an isolated incident and that your company is known to only care about the money and not its customers.   to the emirates stadium as we were going to see Robbie in concert.
