The ambiance of this business is very pleasant. When you walk in there is friendly staff to great you. There is complimentary tea and water. There are lots of essential oils, products for sale and it smells nice. In take was quit and easy. I am from California and recently moved here. I have had more massages than I can count all over the country. I scheduled a 90 minute deep tissue massage for myself for my birthday. This was not what I got. I had a massage with Mario. I told him my problem areas, neck, traps, back, hips and my ankles as I do both sitting and standing and hold stress in these areas. Most of my massage was stretching, deep breathing and thigh and calf work. At one point he got on the table, pinned his knees into my glutes, told me to hold his wrists as he held mine and then pull me up off the table into a c shape. I told him that I wasn't use to this much stretching and was use to just knot work in deep tissue massages and he said he took Thai massage classes in May and liked to keep his massages balanced. Perhaps he forgot that this was my massage. I asked him at different points to increase the pressure and he would respond with "I'll be getting to that don't worry". He had me do lots of deep breathing. At one point he asked me if I thought he was "the king" and said that he had been called that 3 times already that day. 50 minutes had to have been spent massaging my calf and thighs, which I never indicated as concerns, while I was laying both supine and then prone. The other 30 minutes must've been in the various stretching positions he put me in because with each stretch he had me take 5 deep breaths. The last 10 minutes was spent on my neck and back area. I know this because when he pulled me up into the c shape I saw a timer on the counter counting down how much time we had left. Over all I felt very uncomfortable advocating for myself because he seemed to know better than I did what I needed because he had a response for all of my feedback. The king comment creeped me out. I thought many times about ending the session but didn't feel comfortable doing that. Lastly, he took my payment instead of the receptionist which I've never experienced outside of solo practitioners so it made me feel uncomfortable not leaving a good tip. Unfortunately I still have knots in my problem areas and am very disappointed with my experience with him. On the other hand the staff was very nice on my way out and I stopped to ask questions about the other services. I will be going back to visit one of their several other massage therapist as I know one bad experience does not speak for everyone. Overall this establishment seems to be the only reputable one stop shop in Dover of quality and breath of services offered and I look forward to a better massage treatment there in the future. read more

My first time with this establishment. I requested a deep tissue massage and got a very light Swedish style oil down. Very little more. I gave the Massage therapist very specific instructions on what part of my body I wanted attended to but was unable to execute. It is now literally 2 hrs. later and do not feel as though I had a massage, and I have been getting professional massages for Three decades. I had a 90 minutes session yesterday 10/1/20, I was so excited, a 110$ massage is a treat that is maybe once a year. The reception is friendly and cozy. My massage was great when I had her full attention. Most of the time I got the one hand rub, I suspect she was on the phone. The music traveled around my body as she moved from top to side to bottom of the table. When she had both her hands on me and was engaged in the massage it was very good unfortunately this was the exception. I've been going here on and off since 2009, but have been going consistently since the end of January for yoga, massages and chiropractic services. Lydia is the massage therapist I use and is great. We tend to talk for a few minutes in the beginning of the massage and then it's quiet, so it doesn't really interfere with my overall experience. She's really good at reading your body and knowing which areas need more work. One of the things I like most about Heather's is I can get all of the care I need for my neck and back problems in one place. I am always able to schedule my chiropractic appointments on the days I am there for yoga and I've never had a problem getting the massage time I wanted. In my opinion, the prices are unbeatable as well. I have been to a few other places in Dover that cost maybe $5 or $10 less, but the massage wasn't anything to be impressed with. The overall atmosphere is great. It's welcoming and very calming. All of the staff are friendly. Chelsea, one of the receptionists, is also great about scheduling appointments and telling you about any incentives going on at the time. I know that as long as I live in Delaware, Heather's will be the only place I'll go for massage/spa treatments and care for my neck and back. read more

I have visited this facility twice as an instructor to teach Aromatouch Technique. The facility is spacious, clean, and quiet. I worked with Ladonna as my coordinator and she is a pleasure to work with. Her communication is thorough and clear. Parking is ample and free. I had a fantastic massage here. I have been trying different spas all over Dover for the right one, since I get a massage once a month for chronic low-back pain. I'm unsure of the therapist's name, but she was wonderful. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the form asked if I wanted a "quiet" session, and I did. My therapist talked continuously, even about my workplace, which made for a less-than-optimum experience. Who wants to think of job stress during a massage? The place confused me, since the door is not clearly marked, but once inside it is lovely and welcoming. There are tons of different products, from facials to colonics. They even offer vitamins and mineral purchases in the lobby. Yoga is offered as well, and the setting is right next to the room I had my massage in. Thankfully, no classes were going on at the time. I will most likely be going there again. The price was good and the result was excellent. read more
