Working with Heather and her team at CFS was likely the smoothest part of the home-buying process. It was the most consistent and involved the least amount of surprises throughout the process. After getting several quotes for loans early on, CFS had the best rates and Heather was one of few loan officers that was well-spoken and realistic up front. After that, we had several calls that laid out a conservative estimate of what I need to take care of financially prior to, during closing, and after closing. Heather McRae is superb. A friend had recommended her and the first time we talked I could tell she loved her work and was committed to helping me through the whole process of buying a condo. She listens to what you want and follows through. She knows her stuff and how to make it work for you to the extent possible. One of the most helpful things that Heather did for me was set up different Excel worksheets that I could plug offers and down payments into and get estimates of monthly costs, etc. This was invaluable! She tweaked each worksheet for each new place I was considering and when I was ready to make an offer, she went through everything again at my request just to calm my nerves. She helped me strategize and pointed out options. She is exactly what I needed! She never tried to push me one way or another - she made it clear she was happy to talk through different scenarios but was not there to advocate for one or another. I really appreciated this.
