March 2020 I was told by a coworker that the interest rates had dropped to all time low so I called Heather McRae and told her I wanted to refinance. She said the rates hadn't actually dropped but she would keep an eye out for me. I received a call from Heather, in June, saying the rates are right for the picking. I had 22 yrs left on my 30 yr loan. Thanks to Heather's commitment to excellent service I received cash back, have a lower interest rate , AND a 15 yr loan which is only $40 more than my 30 yr mortgage. I closed 7/2020 and my 1st payment is t due until September!!! Thank you for a painless refinance Chris L read more

As first time homebuyers, you want somebody like Heather on your team. Heck, even if you're not she is an absolute asset! In my case, my boyfriend and I were jaded after a negative experience with another lender who rushed us and did not explain anything about costs or prices until after our credit was hard pulled (don't make that mistake!) Heather was referred to us by a friend who heard our plight, and thank God she did. Heather was timely, professional, and took her time with us to explain every single detail/answered all our questions. She was patient and helped us to understand what was going on at all times and made the entire process as smooth as possible. Now we're walking away with not only one but two great rates for two different properties. I can't recommend her enough. read more

I can't recommend Heather enough. I've done two different mortgages with her. Both went seamlessly. No surprises. Well informed. Prompt. Accurate answers. Zero nonsense. Her worksheets helped find a price point which worked and also helped us choose a home. I will definitely use Heather McRae specifically again. read more

I've used Heather for two new purchases and one refinance. Every time the experience has been wonderful. Every detail was taken care of in a timely fashion, every email was quickly answered , and I felt well informed and "ahead of the game" at each step. My lawyers have also complimented Heather personally to me and said how great she was. I feel as though I always received the best possible APR rate plus wonderful follow through and service. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again and highly recommend. read more

Heather was recommended to my husband and I when we first started looking for a condo/house to buy. And she did not disappoint! Heather went above and beyond with helping us get our loan. I highly recommend her. I'd give her a 10 star if I can :) read more

Our family has worked with Heather on three separate purchases over the last 3 years. Each time dealing with Heather has made the process as painless as possible. Applying for a mortgage requires a lot of paperwork and documentation. Heather has made this process as simple as possible and always so professional and pleasant to work with. The rates are competitive and you receive a lot of personalized attention which makes it easier not to miss sending the documents required. We have never met in person, just telephone conversations but the service has been as good as going in to meet a bank officer. If future real estate purchases come our way, we will continue to work with Heather at Chicago Financial Services. read more

I was looking for a financial organization that would give me a mortgage loan and was rejected by the big banks, but I fortunately found Heather (through Facebook no less) who guided me, encouraged me and accepted me as a potential client. I am a teacher, and Heather found a loan that suited my needs with a teacher discount. Walking through this process, she was available at every turn, and was very proactive, knowledgeable and kind and understanding. She continues to be there for me and offers help for my needs in the future. She is outstanding and I would recommend her to ANYONE who needs a loan. read more

I worked with Heather to get my mortgage on this house. She went the extra mile when there were discrepancies around the flood zone and whether the property required flood insurance. She was very responsive, helpful and easy to get a hold of and talk to. I highly recommend her. read more

Heather was AMAZING !! She made it so easy for my husband and I when we decided to purchase a 2nd home in Chicago a couple years ago. I loved that she was so easy to talk to and always answered our calls when we had questions. Thanks for being such a kind and easy going person but who stayed professional through it all ! I would definitely recommend friends and family to her! Thanks again Heather :) read more

Working with Heather and her team at CFS was likely the smoothest part of the home-buying process. It was the most consistent and involved the least amount of surprises throughout the process. After getting several quotes for loans early on, CFS had the best rates and Heather was one of few loan officers that was well-spoken and realistic up front. Heather asked for a lot of documentation early on, as compared to other lenders. After that, we had several calls that laid out a conservative estimate of what I need to take care of financially prior to, during closing, and after closing. Initially, the support came directly from Heather, then afterwards it came mostly from her team. The support was still well-executed at that point. I highly recommend Heather and CFS, and have recommended friends to Heather. read more

Heather McRae is superb. A friend had recommended her and the first time we talked I could tell she loved her work and was committed to helping me through the whole process of buying a condo. She listens to what you want and follows through. She knows her stuff and how to make it work for you to the extent possible. One of the most helpful things that Heather did for me was set up different Excel worksheets that I could plug offers and down payments into and get estimates of monthly costs, etc. This was invaluable! She tweaked each worksheet for each new place I was considering and when I was ready to make an offer, she went through everything again at my request just to calm my nerves. She helped me strategize and pointed out options. She is exactly what I needed! She never tried to push me one way or another - she made it clear she was happy to talk through different scenarios but was not there to advocate for one or another. I really appreciated this. She also was very adept at working out the numbers to my advantage. She recommended an attorney who was also phenomenal. She responds quickly to each email or call and doesn't hesitate to check in to see how things are going. She is personable, consistent, professional, has a sense of humor, and just super easy to work with. She will be the first person I call next time I am thinking of buying. read more

Heather was absolutely outstanding to work with! I couldn't recommend her highly enough. What sets Heather apart from other mortgage brokers I have talked to is her willingness to explain everything in detail (often several times if necessary) with the utmost expertise and, most importantly, patience. As a first time home buyer, I was often confused about the process and Heather was instrumental in making me feel comfortable every step of the way (no matter how dumb or repetitive my questions might have been) and set me up with the absolute best rates and programs available. She was easy to reach and there with me throughout the entire process from preapproval through closing. I felt completely confident that Heather had my best interests in mind and went above and beyond in advising me on my options. She is a true expert in her field and I am grateful that I had the chance to work with her. read more

Awesome experience! Heather went above and beyond in assisting us with the sale of our condo and the purchase of our single family home. We'll be sure to use her services when we move in the future. I highly recommend Heather! read more

My wife and I simply can't say enough good things about Heather McRae. She went above and beyond to structure the best possible loan package for us based on our financial needs and constraints. We were consistently impressed by her level of professionalism and her communication skills; worth noting is that Heather worked outside of normal business hours on several occasions during the whole process, and she was hyper communicative - she answered every email question we had within one business day, usually on the same business day, and she kept us informed at every step of the way. We are so confident in Heather that we have recommended her services to at least two other couples we know who are going through/have recently gone through the home buying process; if that's not a testament to her capabilities, then I don't know what is! read more

My husband and I worked with Heather on the mortgage for our second property. Unlike our previous experience with a different mortgage company and broker, working with Heather was truly a pleasure and great experience. The entire process went very smooth. Heather was on top of everything at all times, answered all the questions we had, she was very communicative, and provided with a superb customer service. We also refinanced our first property and that also a breeze. I'll definitely work with Heather on future transactions and I certainly recommend Heather as your lender! read more

Worked with Heather and her team. Want to start by saying I was EXTREMELY difficult for Heather to work with early on in the process. It was a hectic time for me and I just got to not responding/not completing needed tasks over a months time. Not acceptable, but Heather and her team pushed through this. And when they kicked me into high gear from their persistence (but not at all pushy or aggressive) they completed the tasks on their end with a quickness that got us done in a very short time span. I'm extremely appreciative of Heather and her team in their approach and ability to keep me on point even in my most distracted and busy of times. I'll absolutely keep working with Heather and her team for as long they will keep working with me, because it was nothing but an absolute pleasure throughout the process! read more
