I was never waiting on anything. The turn around time for photos was unexpectedly quick! It was an amazing surprise to see them done in such a fast timeframe. For years I have been going to my daughters' events and every year it seems as if this company is…read morethe photographer used. At the event it is very difficult to in front of a monitor to view the photos due to the large number of people, however, just about every year, I have been able to wait to view them and then order. This year was a different story. Due to a family emergency, I was not able to stay and wait to view the pictures, and was hoping to view them online... sadly, there is no online viewing. I then figured I could take advantage of the action photos on the CD... strike two, you have to buy them as a group ONLY (not going to happen with our group since we have two sets of twins and understandably, both moms do not want or need, two discs of the same pictures. My last shot was the pictures taken in front of the green screen... strike three... only the team photo could be ordered. $50 for the photo and frame, $12 for shipping.. ok, I could do that, but then a $10 post-event fee per picture. Personally, I would think that doing business for this long, some basics things, view pics online, order after the fact, etc., would be a given, along with some accommodations for certain things (i.e. Twins). It really is a bummer since this was one of my girls' 8th and last year. The ONLY reason I gave two stars instead of one is because of the quality of the photos I have received in the past at these events from this vendor. I know plenty of parents in this league have one or more of these issues, and I hope we are able to get a different vendor as we move forward.

I contacted Enchanted Photography after reading favorable reviews for her equine photography and looking at many of her sample images online. The first thing I deeply appreciated about Marla is that because of an injury with our horse we didn't know how much time we would have with her, and Marla made room in her schedule to photograph my family with our horse on fairly short notice. The second thing I appreciated was the communication from start to finish. We always knew what was going on and had everything in writing. Marla also gave suggestions on what to wear and why and had us tweak our outfits before the shoot. The third thing I appreciated was how professional she was during the shoot, while at the same time personable and thoughtful, and how she worked to capture the essence of the relationship between my daughter and our horse and the dynamic between family members for family photos. It was a hectic day for my family, but Marla somehow helped everything flow smoothly. She was a natural with the horses at the barn and was so sweet to our mare. The fourth thing I appreciated was that she made us go to her studio to view the photos and choose them at the viewing. At first I thought this was an imposition. I was wrong! This is absolutely the best part of the whole process because she helped us narrow down our choices and choose the best of the best (because they're all great!). What a blessing! I am certain I'd still be looking at the pictures and trying to decide which to choose and which to leave behind. The fifth thing I appreciated is that she had samples of everything we could choose from at her studio, so we knew what we would be getting. The sixth thing I appreciated is that the photos we purchased are beyond GORGEOUS. We all love, love, love them! The last thing I appreciated is that there were two images that needed a little touching up after she sent us the finished product and she touched them up and had them back to us lightning fast. We are exceedingly happy with Enchanted Photography and with Marla. Her pricing is indicative of her experience and what she offers as a professional and gifted artist. In all honesty, had I looked at the pricing before the photo shoot, it might have scared me away, and I am SO glad that didn't happen. After going through the process and receiving the finished product, I cannot recommend Marla and Enchanted Photography enough. We absolutely got what we paid for and more, and we hope to have the opportunity to work with her again.

When we were reviewing our photos before ordering we noticed there was a lot of editing done. There were touch ups that weren't needed and touch ups that were needed and were not applied. We have darker skin tones and we were tremendously lightened up.My son was edited, I loved his pictures but he looked like artificial. We settled on 5 photos, 2 of which I'm not completely satisfied. We used Katie as our wedding photographer. The referral path to get to her will bore you and won't…read moreadd much to this review, but let it be known that we are forever grateful! Katie was beyond our expectations! We were told that she is starting her photography career, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We saw some of her work with family photography and immediately saw the potential. She arrived the day before the wedding and what a breath of fresh air. There was no pretentiousness, no "Well, I wouldn't do it that way" attitude. Instead, she listened to what we were looking for in a photographer, asked some questions to dig deeper in some areas (i.e. important family / friend photos, dancing photos, etc.), and then got a feel for the flow of the event (as it was really an all-day affair). The next day, she showed up early and was ready to rock. She did a phenomenal job of meandering throughout the crowd to get shots that we'll cherish for a lifetime. The wedding was at a lake-side resort in Northern Michigan (Chimney Corners, Frankfort) and Katie used her expertise to incorporate the lake and rustic surroundings. One minute she'd be taking a photo of our family, the next she'd be laying flat on the ground to get the perfect shot of our friends. At one point, she was laying in the middle of M-22 (a lovely road that winds through Northwest Michigan) to get a priceless shot of us walking down the road. We escaped the party and did a more private photo shoot with the bride/groom, leveraging the rustic exploits of the resort. She was never pushy. She knew where the good shots would be. She was always asking us for any feedback. It was reassuring to know we had a budding photography wizard at the helm. Wedding photography really comes down to one thing - the end product! It was delivered to us in LESS THAN THREE WEEKS! We plugged the thumb drive into our computer upon receipt and were immediately whisked back to our wedding day. The quality was immaculate. The photos looked like they were ready to be printed. She already touched them up, picked out the best photos, and provided them to us for immediate use. She even gave us good advice on what companies to use for printing photos for us and our families.
