I checked back with Aetna and they recommended Rockwell Hearing Center. I could not have been more pleased. He did extra tests that the Indiantown Road center had omitted and fitted me with the best hearing aids (at no cost to me) I have ever had in 12 years. Great hearing at home, TV, groups and phone. I was evaluated for pressure in my left ear in Dr Sharmas office. i was evaluated by the PA who…read morerecommended a procedure by Dr Sharma. I did the 'Procedure' where they went into my left Eustachian tube and did two "snips" that hurt but when there was no improvement and my ear started to buzz!! (tinnitus) that I never ever had before, they made me do a hearing test. During the hearing test I moved my left arm where the microphone was connected and made a Russelling sound so I missed hearing one of the beeps, causing an 8 sec gap on my "left" ear. on the day of hearing test I was told all was normal and I left but they reported it as 'abnormal'! I told them it was because the microphone that was pinned to my left shoulder caused static when I moved my arm. instead of repeating that portion they said because it is abnormal I had to have an MRI of my brain!! with contrast which can damage kidneys. reluctantly I did. The results of MRI were normalthat I found out on my hospital portal. the office told me nothing When I questioned all by the PA at the office he told me results (that were normal) not the Doc when I ask about the " snip' in my ear he said there was "nothing in the report about that". and recommended not to come back there but to see Dr Li, another ENT specialist in Jupiter concerning the new onset of Tinnitus after the procedure. The whole experience there was very strange and now they won't give me a copy of my records to take to Dr Li???? would not recommend this office something very strange going on and ear is no better with severe Tinnitus Thanks to them..good luck if your going to go there. Do stay you weren't warned!!!!!

My current aids are still under warranty. (Whew!). Suffice it to say, they have not acclimated to the Florida climate well and have required several visits to Better Hearing. I found Better Hearing from Dr. Google and went to visit them unannounced and with no appointment. From this first visit they were friendly, business-like, and totally committed to helping me get my aids working again. Again I was a walk-in. I have had several other "issues" with my aids since the first surprise visit. I have been back several times, each time with no appt. I just show up, and they invariably are happy to see you and eager to help. Now you have an idea why I'll certainly make Better Hearing my choice as provider of my next set of hearing devices.
