Her responses were abrupt and rude, leaving me upset enough to cry afterward. The only bright spot was a kind teenage employee who helped me figure out the bag to cover and carry the plant. Unfortunately, when I later spoke with the GM, my concerns were dismissed and the cashier's behavior was excused. Goodbye, Platt Hill. I have purchased overpriced, dead plants for the last time.

We had no idea what had happened until we came home very late Friday night to find our house dark, our yard destroyed, trees and fences down, and half the siding gone. It honestly looked like the place had been hit by a small plane. In any case, I called several electricians in the area but Patrick was the ONLY one willing to help us immediately. He came on a Sunday and got our electrical restored to the house. He did such a beautiful job it was a genuine improvement aesthetically as well as functionally. The total repairs for all the tornado damage were a long and difficult process, but at least we had the good fortune to find Patrick to start us off. He gave us hope we'd make it through the whole ordeal. Good honest people, excellent service. Here's a fun fact - here we are 15 years later in a different home that got hit by twin tornadoes in 2023. Luckily, no electrical damage this time but if there had been - I know who I would have called!

He has owned it for 19 years and now it is strictly for weddings. No store ~ nothing to buy. Lovely grounds, plants, ponds, waterfalls, gazebo, arbor, water fountain, and twinkling lights in the trees. There is a lovely outdoor area set up for the ceremony and then we moved indoors for the cocktail hour. It is open and bright. However, one toilet for about 100 people was interesting. There is a tent, that is airconditioned and probably heated based on the season and weather. Plenty of room to move about so moving around the tables was easy. Just a heads up: they lock the doors for the indoors after everyone has moved to the tent. That means, you must use the toilet facilities attached to the tent. Better than a port-a-potty, but . . . Currently, Swanson is blocked off so you have to drive around the road block.
