They have a variety of classes for beginners and advanced practitioners alike, and at every class I go to they offer modifications or add-ons to poses so that you can really adjust to what your body needs that day. At other studios I felt judged if I couldn't go into a headstand or some other inversion, and there is none of that at Blackbird. It is an encouraging environment, which is so perfect for yoga. The studio also offers workshops outside of the regular classes if you want to delve into your practice a little deeper. Another thing I noticed is how at every class, even if it is the same type of class, it is never exactly the same. There is always variety. I've been practicing yoga for two years now and in the few months that I started at Blackbird I saw a noticeable improvement in my practice. There are poses that I thought I would never be able to do or hold for more than a breath that I now do with ease. It's really amazing.
