We could not be happier with the remodel King James Construction did on our house. They remodeled…read morethe bathroom, kitchen, back porch area, and refinished the wood floors in the house. As part of the remodel on the kitchen and back porch they widened a door and took part of the wall down between the former kitchen and dining room. The space is fantastic and completely transformed from what it was. They created more space in the bathroom as well by removing a wall and doing a complete remodel on the space, including a beautiful tiled shower. It looks great and the price was such a great value as Jim really works with your budget. Some of the demo we did and then the construction crew took over from there. The entire space looks and feels completely different. A couple years ago they remodeled our garage and turned it from a leaning 1950's tear down garage into a fantastic area for us to work in. They made the ceiling higher and installed an oversized garage door for us to get larger equipment in and out. The space is fantastic and that's why we asked them to come back and do the remodel on the house. I couldn't be happier with the end result. I highly recommend them for any remodel or a new build.

His knowledge of the industry, building codes and county requirements was apparent immediately, and he was very thorough and quick to respond to any questions that we had! We wanted the project completed to specific point and then wanted to finish up ourselves. Jim was more than willing to accommodate our needs! His employees are great, extremely friendly, considerate and willing to let you learn as they go! I contacted this company, based upon all their positive reviews, to do some roof repair. While the initial bid appeared reasonable it ended up costing $500 more. Their shoddy workmanship was noticed later when I had the roof replaced. The contractor who replaced the roof was asked about the repair work done by High Desert Contracting. I was told that it was barely adequate and that they had to replace flashing to bring it up par. In addition, the communication was suspiciously evasive about extra charges and they were difficult to deal with. I hope this review will help others considering contracting with HDC.
