My mother is a cancer survivor, has altimezers ,pace maker and a few more health issues .. for sure not in good health but she does have great spirits! I am a only child and have been her POA for 10 years now, I carry her paperwork to all her new doctor locations as needed. Yesterday the woman at the front desk that sits on the left side was one of the worst human beings I have ever had to deal with when it comes to mother. First she tried to tell me my POA paperwork was NOT correct and they refused to scan it in. ( she was incorrect i dod verify it was correct ) moving on she made my mother get up and walk to the desk and of coarse mother asked her why she was treating us this way that of all her doctors, surgeries ect ,no one had ever refused the paperwork. Of coarse the the woman tried to still argue and I just asked mother to go sit down and we would worry about it later. She gave me paperwork to fill out and tried to get me to pay a $25.00 copay . I let her know mother does not have co pays and gave her all mothers insurance info. I went to sit down to fill the paperwork out and before I finished she called me back up to the front desk and advised they could not see mother that she had Medicare/Medicaid of Ga ! Mother also has BCBS of TN. Again at no other doctor office or hospital has ANYONE ever refused to see mother! Need to add in this person had no emotions no empathy no facial expressions, it was like she was dead inside. Zero customer service. This location is where she was referred to and they refused her! There is a reason why this appt was made so quickly due to the size of the nodule and to get a biopsy scheduled. I understand everyone has things going on in their lives that can make them act the way this woman did but at no time is this acceptable .. come on my mother may be walking around with cancer again and she dismissed her and did NOT give a damn! Do NOT take one of your loved ones to this location unless you want this type of customer service and your loved on to be refused treatment!

I verified on their Website and my insurance was NOT listed as one they accepted OR that they did NOT accept. I had to call two times - the first time I went through the electronic answering service, selected "appointment' and just waited. Hung up after 5 minutes. Called back in about an hour later. Got a "man" this time. Asked to make an appointment, he was very short, I assumed he was busy, cut me off asking if I had been there before. I said Not & he very quickly asked what insurance I had, I told them & he abruptly said "we don't take that" and hung up. I had seen other negative reviews, and although I was hesitant to go there, it was the only place my insurance said was in-network. I do feel I've dodged a bullet here. I actually looked at Indeed's "what is it like to work here" - their own staff talks about how horrible a place it is. The doctors may be ok, but the staff appears to really suck.

I had to bring my toddler with me to my appointments and the front desk staff was so sweet helping entertain her. The audiologist tried two different kinds of hearing aids, and adjusted them numerous times, but ultimately I decided against them. She was so nice, and I'll return to Johnson Audiology as my hearing changes to try again.

One night he went to bed hearing and the next morning he woke up deaf in one ear and 3% left in the other ear! He was frightened and couldn't read so he had to yell, I suppose thinking we couldn't hear him so we had to yell back so he could hear us because he couldn't read. He didn't know some language and all other avenues had played out to where there was no hope for him to ever hear again. My husband is a preacher, and this left him to where he couldn't hear prayer request or talk to the people he had to Council... we were at our wits end without nerves shot and nowhere to turn but to God! After much prayer my husband and I received a mailer from my mom about the balance & Hearing Center in Gadsden. We went with faith that God was going to answer our prayers through Mitch and Holly. After receiving some very expensive hearing aids to where we had to finance them, Mitch and Holly were so moved by our story they both were in tears as we were. Exactly two weeks later after being fitted for my husband's hearing aids they were tested. When we walked in that day he could not hear but 3%, and when we walked out that day he received 92% of his hearing back!
