That was the whole reason I booked, and so I went in with high hopes. Let me start by saying Kirsten is a very kind woman. For the facial itself, there seemed to be much more massage (hands, arms, neck) than treatment. Felt nice, but not what I booked. I had a few white heads, her esthetician-modality doesn't believe in traditional extractions, so these were left untouched. Multiple times, she left the treatment room to let people into the boutique, which took away from feeling relaxed. Lastly, when we wrapped up, I saw it was 30 minutes past the allotted time I booked (ended at 3:50 on my appointment booking, saw my watch around 4:18). I had a commitment at 4:30, so this left me in a pinch. Maybe it was an off day, maybe this is standard, but I will likely not be returning.

She does both hard and soft wax, which is rare, and somehow makes something that's normally uncomfortable feel completely easy and manageable. She will tell you what time she has open you just ask her what times you have open between XYZ or what day you plan to come in and she will let you know what time she has open for you to swing by! Very fast but extremely detail oriented so no need to worry about quality. I've only used her waxing services and I always come out clean and no problems directly after or later in the night (I know since I've been to other waxers until I found Lisa. I've never gone to another one since) Good parking around the block so parking isn't an issue, just make sure to look at street cleaning signs lol. The place is calm and clean and always welcoming. She's got music in the waiting area and always relaxing or throwback music which I appreciate! There's a bathroom in the waiting area you can use. Definitely ask her questions if you have any. She's got great tips on skin upkeep between waxes and more! I've never had one bad experience from her so that is awesome! I know she does hard and soft wax so that's a plus! Since certain areas you need certain wax textures. I religiously go to her monthly unless I'm out of town. Not much traffic so you don't need to worry about speeding cars. I could sue you. The owner's response was weak. During another service, the waxer was high. She pulled my hair out so hard that the hair grew back grey. So I now have 1/2 grey pubic hair and 1/2 black pubic. I kid you not. I have been going to La Tira for 20 years, and I was a loyal customer. Now I've come to my senses. I'm going someplace else.
