I had just arrived at Amanda Hill's studio where we were doing a pin-up shoot. I had been following the Memphis Bombshells on Facebook and really wanted to have some photos like that before I turned 30 (eeeek!!). I had seen Stephanie's work before (both hair and makeup) via Amanda and I knew this chick was a genius so I bit the bullet. Plus, you know that feeling you get when you just *know* someone is cool? Well, not only is she cool but I *knew* Stephanie was a hair/makeup genius the moment I walked in the door. It was love at first sight and now I've had her do my hair and makeup for 3 shoots. She has done vintage to contemporary and I've loved it all. I would hire her to do my makeup and hair every day if I could afford it because it is no coincidence that my dates go way better when I see them after I see her...but this is still not how she changed my life. She changed my life when I booked her for a makeup lesson. I asked her to teach me how to contour my face (aka make it look thinner - hello Kim Kardashian, thanks for introducing me to this concept) and not only did she do that (in the privacy and convenience of my own home I might add)...but she told me about filling in my eyebrows. And THAT is when my life was transformed. I know you think I'm being silly or dramatic or exaggerating...but I'm not. Not even a little. Everywhere I go now I get compliments on my eyebrows and there is a direct correlation between people telling me I'm pretty and me filling in my eyebrows. If these puppies aren't filled in, I am one plain Jane walking through this world. In comparison, my current boyfriend goes absolutely gaga when my eyebrows are done (and he doesn't even know that is what is making him swoon...he just knows my makeup is different and that he likes it.) My best friend's fiancee saw me on New Years and hadn't seen me since this little transformation and literally asked her to start doing her eyebrows like mine. Who knew eyebrows could make someone feel so sexy?! Anyways, not only Stephanie Brick rock my world with the eyebrow revelation, but she also taught me how to correctly do my eye makeup. I've been walking around this world for 28 years with way too thick eyeliner looking like Cleopatra gone wrong...and now (I don't mean to brag but...) I can finally do a proper wingtip! Stephanie was a blessing in my life and I know that sounds ridiculous to some but proper makeup makes a huge difference...especially when you're getting older and trying to hide the flaws and highlight the good. I had a few concerns about her drawing in my eyebrows, since my eyebrows are already so thick when we did our trail. But she made some adjustments during the trail and we talked through it for the day of. She was on time and very patient-made sure I looked beautiful and was very quick and efficient! My first negative review ever. I called to make an appointment for brow tint only as I have been…read moregrowing brows with serum for a year and needed the grays tinted. My brows and lashes are dark brown with a bit of gray. She said tint and shape, I said tint only. She said fee was $20. Got to appointment and again she said tint and shape and I again said tint only. She talks me into tinting eyelashes also. As she's tinting she doing some rubbing which ends up being shaving. She then does a bit of plucking which ends up being plucking the gray hairs I came to have tinted. She hands me a mirror and my brows are GONE! A fine line of brows left which are not even on both sides. So shocked I can't comment. She then charges me $100 which I pay like an idiot! Additionally I can't see any tint on my lashes.

She would sit next to my nail tech while my nails were being done. Overcharges for Epsom salt when using a generic brand. She informed black customers that she had run out of punch cards, so they couldn't get $12.00 off their next visit if all six were punched out.
