I first went to HealthX as I was suffering from extreme dizziness. Matthew listened carefully, did some testing and then diagnosed it as VOR. He assigned some simple to do exercises and began treatment using IMS. The results had been amazing. I look forward to going for treatment as I know once it is over I will feel so much byetter. Although we are still continuing treatment, I am able to begin walking and other exercise with renewed confidence. Since starting treatment I have had two nasty falls and again Matthew has "worked magic" to help keep me active. He is extremely professional, understanding, personable and skilled. The office staff always greet me with a warm smile and make me feel comfortable immediately. On days I was too "spinny" to drive they helped reschedule with no lectures! I highly recommend HealthX. I am so glad that I found them. They have helped me regain quality in my life. read more

Awesome staff very professional and kind . I drive 20mins out of my way just to go see them even though I have physio therapists near where I live. I would for sure recommend health x. The only bad thing is that the building where they are situated is old and smelly and also there's like 15 stairs you have to walk up just to get to there office and that's crazy . read more

I started going here for Physio therapy after a car accident, and afterwards also started going to their Active Rehab for kinesiology as well. The staff members are very polite, professional, and happily answer any questions. Everyone there is super friendly, and I've found myself enjoying my sessions more as more as I've gotten to know the people there. Everyone's worked really hard to accommodate my schedule, and the hours are very flexible which has made things easier. Matt and Karen are both great physiotherapists, and Jason is an amazing kinesiologist. I would highly recommend any of them. read more

They have numerous accreditations, extensive research and plenty of familiarity with a wide range of athletic injuries. Modern Medicine: In addition to being members of the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, our staff hold other accreditations from many other types of professional groups including Gunn IMS and the K-tape International Academy. Strategy: Our philosophy is that physiotherapy is a process. It is our job to diagnose your injury, treat it and get you recovering as soon as possible. We take each stage of this process very seriously, and it is our goal to get you from diagnosis to recovery in the most effective way.

Meet the Business Owner: Matthew W.

Matthew Wright-Smith graduated from La Trobe University, Lincoln School of Health Sciences, Melbourne Australia in 1992 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy. He has extensive training in mobilization and manipulation of the spine to correct specific conditions and restore normal biomechanics for treatment of neck and back injuries. Mr. Wright-Smith completed his certification as a GunnIMS therapist in 2008 using intramuscular stimulation (IMS) for treatment of persistent pain. He is also a fellow of the K-tape International Academy and uses K-tape extensively for all types of injuries. Mr. Wright-Smith has 22 years clinical experience in the treatment of sports injuries, MVA soft tissue injuries, work injuries, arthritis and chronic pain conditions. Mr. Wright-Smith is the owner of Healthx Physical Therapy and is a member of the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Orthopeadic Division.

They have helped me recover from multiple shoulder surgeryies over the years the surgeon has always said the recovery is up to a year and I have never been that long for recovery been as short as 4-5 months and I think its longest has been 8-9 months and I contribute it to the great physio I have received from Healthx physical Therapy recently from Cory and Amanda and in the past Karen and Mat th The office staff have always done a great job taking care of all my scheduling needs for me all and all I would recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy and kinesiology read more
