(Closed when I went though) I was surprised how much stuff they had! As good a selection (or better) as Whole Foods, without forcing us to to contribute to Amazon taking over the world. (They only have two locations - Canton and Columbus - love it!) The prices on sale items are pretty good. Other prices are either good ($2.19 for three fresh giant beets! ;) ) or too-rich-for-me.... but still not higher than you'd pay at Whole Foods. The women working the register were nice about signing me up for a card. I think we might avoid the slog to Akron or Cleveland and shop here from now on. Thank you!

I can't believe that the last review for this place was nearly three and a half years ago. Me and…read moremy wife recently stopped here to check out a natural food store since we really enjoyed checking them out. What was pretty cool about this place was there is a side street on the other side of the store and there's a street light on the other side. So random traffic may come by in the parking lot. Store-wise, it was very empty inside as in there were very little people shopping inside and not even that, the grocery selection was very small and limited. The items in the Shelf are not well stocked at all. If you pull an item from let's say a shelf. They will not be more of that either behind. The shelves just looks like it's filled. Many of the items were pretty pricey too though I will say we found a few cool items we've never seen. There was a juice bar too but that was closed down. The restrooms here were actually pretty clean too. Staff when checking out was pretty friendly too. Overall, I was pretty disappointed in my visit

The chicken salad croissant, the cheese selection, the produce, the molasses sandwich cookies (seriously if you ever see these, do NOT sleep on them....I haven't seen them for awhile, but I have high hopes).....everything here is high quality. It is expensive. I used to get coupons almost weekly, but I hadn't seen one for awhile. I asked the cashier and she told me they haven't come out with any since "before all the hurricanes." Bummer. Anyhow, when I get those coupons again or feel like splurging a bit, I'll come again.

Since I moved from California to Ohio it so hard to find a health store that carries healthier options. My takeaway from visiting Wheeling is that the people of Wheeling love their public markets. There…read moreare two of them in this small city. This public market (named ... wait for it ... Public Market) is the smaller of the two markets. It's small, but it also houses the Wheeling Visitor Center, so it's still important. There's a little grocery store inside, with lots of fresh produce and local goods, like honey, jams and breads. They also had an astounding amount of probiotic foods, like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut and other fermented foods. These are located in a refrigerated section by the produce. I was told that Public Market would be a good place to get something to eat, but I couldn't find anything but groceries. When I asked a lady if there was a restaurant or food stall or some place to get a bite inside public market, she said, "They'll make you a little something. What do you want? A sandwich? They'll make you a sandwich." She walked away, and I was left puzzled. Who is "they"? And yes, I did want a sandwich, so who did I need to ask to make me one? Alas, I never did find this fabled sandwich-maker inside Public Market, but apparently, they do serve food here. Maybe I just visited on a day when "they" weren't there. Like I mentioned, the Wheeling Visitor Center is located here. It's in a small section at the front entrance, tucked away. This is also home to the Wheeling-Ohio County CVB. Apparently, sometimes there's someone behind the desk who you can talk to, and sometimes there isn't. Much like the sandwich-maker, I think if you're there at the right time, you'll see them. But if not, there's always literature and pamphlets and information about the area that you can pick up and take with you.
