I LOVE coming to this sweet place!!…read more I've actually been seeing Dr. Carol off and on for a handful of years now (uhm, I've been there terrible about any consistent form of self care and sometimes I go MONTHS without getting Chiro adjustments- because, well, I'm a momma on the go!) It's not just your regular ol wack-n-crack-in-and-out-in-10 mins kind of place. And that's EXACTLY what I love about this place!! I'm SUPER selective on who gets to lay their paws on me in the name of bodywork. I've been to probably around 3o different Chiros in the last 25 years. Not kidding, I'm serious. At least 30. Many of them ended up being a one-time-only visits because I ended up in extreme pain afterwards from being cranked on and treated with the general-average-person kind of adjustment. Maybe that works for some people- it doesn't for me. With being born with a narrower spinal column than most humans and just a weird sensitive body, I've learned that just anyone won't do. My first experience with Dr. Carol was...uhm, very different. I really didn't know what to expect and the friend that referred me didn't tell me anything other than, "it's just really different. Kind of like some energy work or something mixed in" (which is exactly what made me feel safe to give it a try in the first place! I'm into all that intuitive woohoo bodywork kind of stuff! It means good results for me). First off- don't expect to get in and out quickly. If that's what you are looking for- go to the other 98% of a "quick crack and pay up and out you go" Chiropractors. For a momma who SERIOUSLY needs to start making consistent self care time for herself- coming here is so dang near heaven and just what I need to keep up with my constant mom-on-the-go routine! I get to lay there to allow my body to relax while Dr. Carol comes in and out of the room, doing little tweaks to allow my body to do some shifting on its own before manually doing specific adjustments. All this while my 3 year old contently plays with the toys in room and play peak a boo with me while Ive got my face planted in the head cradle of the massage table. More often than not, Dr. Carol also has one of the massage therapists there as well to offer 10 mins of massage (for an additional $10) before she starts working on you. Of course if it's slow, I always tell them I will take as many more minutes as I can get, if it's available. One more reason I love her style of running this sweet place is- walk in vs. making an appointment. Most of the time, I'm juggling an attempt of a schedule with teens and a toddler, plus, at staying on top of my own business. Making appointments for things is stressful to add to my already (way too) busy day. Her walk in availability has been a life saver for my body SO MANY times-since I tend to wait till I'm desperately in pain to get my butt in get an adjustment. They also have lots of beautiful, handcrafted items available to purchase as well as a variety of supplements (also a time saver for me to skip attempting to find time to make a trip to the health food store when I'm suddenly finding myself out of a few of my favorite staple supplements). I haven't tried some of the other services there-other than attempting to a smooth talk the massage therapists for extra minutes (I know, I know- I really NEED to start scheduling some of those much needed massage but, uh...timing). I can say both Mathew and Leah (a few of the massage therapists there) give such dreamy massages while I'm there- very intuitive to boot! Last but not least- Dr. Carol is SO affordable compared to all the other chiropractors I've been to! $30 an adjustment- $25 for kids. My insurance rarely paid for much chiro in the past and most of the time my co-pay added up to more than that. So it's easy for me to be ok with paying her out of pocket- no insurance needed. I love this place!!!
