Today I received a bill from Health 1st that was three years old, I immediately contacted their office and was told that the bill had been generated from an audit covering the past four years. I explained that I never received any treatments that I had not immediately paid for. The gentleman seemed to ignore me in my stating that and only admitted to a typo in one of the charges, reducing the total bill by $28. I contacted a friend who is an accountant, he suggested getting bank statements covering the period of the treatments. I had to ask a favor of a friend who worked at that bank to retrieve three year old bank statements, because I no longer bank there, and it is not the bank's normal policy. After obtaining the statements, I was able to locate where I made the payments. I went into Health 1st and showed the doctor that I am correct in having a zero balance. He did apologize and explained there were clerical errors made. I was able to get a signature clearing me any debt. I'm disappointed in the threatening tone that the letter had, stating the debt needed settled within fifteen days before they would send it to collections. Attached was an old photocopy standard agreement between the office and I stating I would be financial responsible if there were any outstanding debts with my signature at the bottom, normal. But every part of the letter that spelled financial doom and gloom was highlighted. No courtesy call, no explanation, no mention of possible clerical errors until after the fact. I had to ask favors and jump through hoops to clear this up. My review is on the process the office staff took in addressing this issue. It could've been resolved without any threatening letters and demands of payment, (which I had paid) It's not normal for people to hold onto four years of bank statements, nor is it any banks policy to have them readily available in this sort of instance. Their actions could've easily resulted in damaging my credit if I had paid in cash and no longer had the receipts. A simple letter stating an audit had been conducted and there was no proof of payment recorded. Asking if I could and would be willing to assist in clearing up the matter would have been sufficient and satisfactory in getting the same outcome. Like everyone else, I received a call saying I had a balance of $365. I haven't seen this dr in almost two years ago. I saw him 4 times they gave me 7 dates. I paid every visit. Yet they only have record of two payments. I am appalled, disgusted and disappointed in this dr. They also claim their records of payments do not go back that far so they're unable to see what other payments I made. What kind of company is this??? They stated they would be sending me to collections next along with everyone else who they are trying to scam. I look forward to filing a police report against this company for fraud, which is what I'll be doing next. In response to Dr Booth - You need to speak to your bookkeeper because she did not say that. She said I have a balance and that if I cant show proof that I paid or pay then I will be sent to collections. Not once did she say it may be an error on your offices part. So now I have to take time out of my day to dig up old receipts and statements because your office doesn't keep track of payments they received? read more

Beware, save yourself a lot of trouble and a future nightmare by avoiding this fraudulent guy and his office. Once you sign his contract, you are bound to pay him even after stopping treatments, no matter what you have paid. He will come at you before the statue of limitations ends, which is about 4 years, and sock you with a bill owing thousands of dollars. He makes up fake bills and claims money that is owed even if you don't owe anything, and charges interest. His staff used to mess up on billing because they wouldn't work for him for very long, so there would always be mess-ups. I went to him for under a year, and he had changed at least 2-3 employees. Other patients and reviewers have mentioned the exact same thing that happened to them. He he will take you to small claims, and he will send you to collections and he will sue you. When I used to go to Booth, him and his worker would constantly discuss small claims and courts. This is his supplementary income I am sure. He changes his yelp account when he gets too many bad reviews, go figure. Then he goes to church every Sunday to repent for all this, typical Cristian. Please avoid! This company split a little over a year after I stopped going there (c. 2008). I had paid a hefty up front fee for a certain number of appointments and was only charged when I went in for massage appointments, which I paid at the time of each appointment. It wasn't until 4 years later that I was stunned to find out they had sent me to a collection company FOR NO REASON! They had never sent me a bill for any unpaid services since I had already pre-paid for each session other than massage appointments which were to be paid when I actually went in for them. Talk about Christian values! Having never sent me a bill so I could dispute the charges directly, I am now forced to contest them with the credit collection agency they sent me to which affected my credit. Never again will I refer them patients as I had been doing before I found out they were trying to screw me out of money that was not owed to them. UPDATE: after being contacted by this company explaining that an employee looking to take advantage of a commission-based system by sending many patient files into collections, I verified through the credit bureaus that the collections process had been rescinded. I hope that this company exercises better judgment in who they hire to handle their financial affairs. Like other reviewers I received a threatening letter demanding payment for services i received 2 YEARS AGO! They claim they did an audit and found this outstanding debt that my insurance didnt cover. The letter threatens collections if I dont contact the office within 14 days - but you took 2 years!!!! Unbelievable. Health 1st? I think not. Money 1st is the true business model. read more

I've been going to Dr Booth for over 30 yrs. He has changed my life in so many ways. I've been in multiple car accidents and have had multible spinal surgeries. I was living in chronic pain until I let Dr. Booth do his magic. Not only does he do adjustments, he uses Lazer therapy, deep tissue therapy and breaks up scar tissue. I have recently been suffering from sciatic pain, there were days I could barely stand, but after a visit with Dr. Booth I could at least move around. I have been pain free for a week now. So my wife and I recently received a bill in the mail from "Dr." Booth, which indicated that we owed him money for services that he swore up and down on that were covered by the insurance. Well it wasn't, don't believe that this man is a godly man because he surely is not. He may volunteer at VBF but he surely does not have any sort of Christian Ethics. When we explained to him that we were having issues paying the total upfront for the bill and if we could pay $30 a month he snarled back something in an aggressive tone about having to send his child to college. Don't go off of the 5 star reviews, those are all from years ago, I would have given him a 5 star review back then too... I've been seeing dr. Booth for lower back issues for a little shy of a month and I am already noticing major results. I was in extreme pain and unable to work out comfortably when I first came in. I have been going to see Dr.Booth for over 5 years. The staff is friendly and Michael accommodates my busy schedule. Keven can really give a deep massage! Talk about working out the kinks in my neck. Went to Health 1st over a year ago and they just informed me that we owe them alot of money but are willing to give us a discount, their reason for calling a year later is because they barely started auditing their paperwork. When me and my husband started seeing Dr. Booth they informed us everything was covered through our insurance. The following year our insurance changed and they once again told us we were covered but failed to mention we were out-of-network because "it's not their responsibility." We were also given some equipment, shoe insoles, and a lumbar support that we were willing to take back and we were told we could take them back but somehow the record of them giving them to us were no where to be found. When we did pick up our paperwork one of the lumbar supports was on the statement but the receptionist said Dr. Booth didn't want them back because it has been over a year of us having them. The whole time dealing with them they were very rude and short, not once apologizing for their mistakes and they couldn't answer any of my questions I had about what treatments I was receiving that were so expensive. read more
