I always wanted to try the foot soak thing not sure if it's real after all the stuff I read, BUT it did say something about gallbladder which I have been told I have a polyp so maybe there is some truth to it. I get quarterly open-system colonics in my home town (and have for more than 20yrs). I found out about this place through a friend. I never had a colonic so I wanted to try something new. Went in and was greeted by Vinisha. Her spirit is just so awesome. She knew it was my first time and explained the whole process. She made me feeling comfortable and it wasn't an uncomfortable experience. I don't have anything to compare this experience to, but after our first visit (and 5 more since) I'm pretty sure we won't be going anywhere else. Upon entering we were greeted warmly by Tommy and made comfortable as all my questions and concerns were answered thoroughly and patiently. We then met with our therapist Annie, who explained the procedure and what to expect before, during and after. Let me tell you, this type of thing can be extremely awkward in the hands of inept people. Thank God the level of professionalism here is TOP NOTCH. Everything is taken in stride (with some humor thrown in) and although the awkwardness is never completely gone, it did make my first time experience super comfortable. Annie is extremely knowledgeable in her field, not only with colonics, but also with natural healing, herbal therapy, and all things internal (and poo) related. Their colonic rooms are soothing with music playing, essential oils diffusing and salt lamps and crystals setting a very zen tone. The procedure alone was...... ummmmm....... unusual. My first colonic was the most uncomfortable since most of the cramping happened during that session. Every session thereafter became more and more bearable with intermittent cramping as waste moved through and out. So I had an Ionic foot bath treatment today and wanted to try it out . The girl was really friendly and informative about how the machine gets rid of toxins from your liver to gallbladder . . I asked if the detox really works and if they ever hooked up the other machine without anyone's feet in them . She told me they ran a test and the water was a slight brown color with no feet but not as dark . I noticed my water was brown and dark green , the same color as other yelp photos . So , I continued to sip on my tea and watch this brown to dark green water fill up the foot spa . I finished paid $40 - minus the yelp $10 .00 coupon and off I went . I was still curious if this really was true . So I went home and researched it . I googled it and saw That Inside Edition, the tv show ,did an under cover episode and went to several spas . They had a Dr. show how it's just rust coming out from the machine due to the electric charge . They even showed 2 machine side by side with feet an no feet , exactly same color . I had my first experience with the Ionic Foot Bath yesterday at Healing Waters. Prior to my appointment, I had done some research on the ionic foot bath and wanted to experience it for myself. I was a little skeptical at first, but after my 1st session, I'm a believer in the benefits. Chrissy helped me get set up and provided me with an Amazing Greens drink while I waited. She also sat in the room with me and answered all of my questions that I had about the process. They also have a pamphlet in the room that describes how the machine works and what the color of the water indicates. I took pictures of the beginning, middle and end of the session. The water started out tan then started to turn orange (joints) and black (liver), with some foam (lymphatic). Shortly after the session, I felt calm and refreshed. I have a tendency to have a bit of insomnia, but last night I slept like a baby. Today, I woke up feeling refreshed and energized and didn't feel the need to run to down my morning coffee. The price of the service was well worth the benefits received, $40 for 40 minutes. I will be doing this once a week. Coming from New York, Healing Waters is exactly what I needed. I'm 26, work full time, and with the hustle and bustle of the city, I was long overdue for a detox. At healing waters, you can do a clonic, foot soak and/or hyperbaric chamber. I first soaked my feet in the foot bath and was amazed by all the toxins freely flowing out of my body. I then did the clonic... Having never done anything like this before, it was genuinely shocking. It's not exactly comfortable to stick a tube up your butt and defecate on a table, but with all that New York pizza, it's exactly what I needed! Not only did it clear the excess out of my body, it got rid of my bloating and years of stomach tension and anxiety. The hyperbaric chamber was unique. I paid for an IONIC DETOX FOOT BATH for my parents but after watching the videos showing that its fake, I called so quick to cancel. It's funny because when I called to confirm it 24 hours before the appt, they kept trying to cancel my appt. And I got stern and told then I'm only confirming not canceling it and checking the card on file so my parents wouldnt be charged for anything. I thought that was so weird.
