I always wanted to try the foot soak thing not sure if it's real after all the stuff I read, BUT it did say something about gallbladder which I have been told I have a polyp so maybe there is some truth to it. While being a first timer for colon hydrotherapy, I'm familiar with holistic medicine and natural healing practices. I don't have anything to compare this experience to, but after our first visit (and 5 more since) I'm pretty sure we won't be going anywhere else. We then met with our therapist Annie, who explained the procedure and what to expect before, during and after. Let me tell you, this type of thing can be extremely awkward in the hands of inept people. Thank God the level of professionalism here is TOP NOTCH. Everything is taken in stride (with some humor thrown in) and although the awkwardness is never completely gone, it did make my first time experience super comfortable. So I had an Ionic foot bath treatment today and wanted to try it out . The girl was really friendly and informative about how the machine gets rid of toxins from your liver to gallbladder . . I asked if the detox really works and if they ever hooked up the other machine without anyone's feet in them . She told me they ran a test and the water was a slight brown color with no feet but not as dark . I noticed my water was brown and dark green , the same color as other yelp photos . So , I continued to sip on my tea and watch this brown to dark green water fill up the foot spa . I finished paid $40 - minus the yelp $10 .00 coupon and off I went . I was still curious if this really was true . So I went home and researched it . I googled it and saw That Inside Edition, the tv show ,did an under cover episode and went to several spas . They had a Dr. show how it's just rust coming out from the machine due to the electric charge . They even showed 2 machine side by side with feet an no feet , exactly same color . I had my first experience with the Ionic Foot Bath yesterday at Healing Waters. Prior to my appointment, I had done some research on the ionic foot bath and wanted to experience it for myself. I was a little skeptical at first, but after my 1st session, I'm a believer in the benefits. Chrissy helped me get set up and provided me with an Amazing Greens drink while I waited. She also sat in the room with me and answered all of my questions that I had about the process. They also have a pamphlet in the room that describes how the machine works and what the color of the water indicates. I took pictures of the beginning, middle and end of the session. The water started out tan then started to turn orange (joints) and black (liver), with some foam (lymphatic). Shortly after the session, I felt calm and refreshed. I have a tendency to have a bit of insomnia, but last night I slept like a baby. Today, I woke up feeling refreshed and energized and didn't feel the need to run to down my morning coffee. The price of the service was well worth the benefits received, $40 for 40 minutes. I will be doing this once a week.
