I've had a number of massages over the years but it's never been a regular treatment for me as they are usually too expensive to maintain. Well after last week I'm singing a different tune... I walked in to Thai Well Centre after work on Wednesday and asked if they could fit me in for an hour long Thai Message. After glancing at the books the therapist said they could fit me in at 7.15pm. I arrived back a while later and was immediately taken to the treatment room. Once I had changed she came back, asked what kind of pressure I prefer, and got straight to work. She started in legs, moved up through the back and worked tirelessly until my body was jello. She was flexible when I told her something didn't feel good (such as walking on my calves haha) and accommodating when I asked her to skip my arms and keep working on my back. This place is no frills so don't expect to lounge in a robe while sipping fruited water; but you can expect to leave all of your tension at the door and keep money in your wallet. For €50 I was able to get one of the best massages of my life (tied with a place in Siem Reap) for a full 60 minutes. Thanks so much Dow and I hope to see you in a couple weeks!

My back started acting up again recently so I called Thai Well to see if I could book Mani. Unfortunately she doesnt work there anymore- she does however work in the Malahide Thai Well branch- so I told them to give me whoever was free. The girl who gave me the massage was lovely. She didnt go deep into the muscles like Mani- which I wanted - but the massage was very good. I would say for anyone looking for a regular deep tissue massage, she would be perfect. You are left to get undressed down your underwear in the masage room and then the masseuse comes in and does their thing. There is soothing music playing and it can be very relaxing. The staff are very welcoming and friendly- that the Thai way- and prices are good.

My wife then went for her treatment only to be told it was a male therapist, which she wasn't prepared for and politely advised Giordan on reception of this fact, Giordan couldn't offer a solution and then left a voicemail message for her manager Tonya to call my wife, upon not receiving any call, my wife rang back an hour later and was advised the manager was due in so my wife said she would drop in to see her, after waiting on the manager, my wife was brought into a private room to talk where Tonya immediately went on the defensive, stating that my wife didn't know what she was talking about because I was told at the time of booking "over the phone" that this would be "Marco", she advised my wife she was beside the receptionist at the time of this alleged call. Firstly, the owner blatantly LIED, as all the correspondence was by email, secondly it was never stated that the therapist was a male named Marco, my wife requested a refund for the full treatment which never took place, only to be told by the owner this would not happen she would run her business the way she wanted and she was asked to leave the salon. My wife was extremely upset at how she was treated so I called the salon and spoke very politely with Jordan who passed on my concerns to Tonya. I since received a call from Tonya, who started by telling me how upset SHE was, at this point I began to advise her of her LIES, only to be hung up on. As someone who works in a Client facing business, this is the worst level of customer service I have ever heard about, I have also made my case that I have all the conversations when booking on email and that I will be looking into this further. No woman should be made feel uncomfortable or treated this appallingly for refusing a treatment with a male therapist.
