Two things that need to be clear right up front - 1) Dr Rahman is one of the two or three best chiropractors I've ever seen. Dr Rahman is *extremely* skilled, and I recommend him very highly. finding a genuinely good chiropractor is next to impossible. Sadly there are more quacks out there than genuinely qualified, effective chiropractic docotrs. Dr Rahman is one of those rarities. 2) Dr Rahman as a person, and the experience of being treated by him is totally unconventional. This is not a bad thing at all. In a corporate controlled, homogenous world of sameness and well groomed odor free consumer amoeba who are trained to accept and desire this, many can only accept what they've been trained to understand. Dr Rahman defies expectations and convention in the best possible way. To wit: Most chiropractors have you come in, they might x-ray you, put you on a roller table, or apply heat. Then they adjust you and send you on your way. come back in a week or maybe two. Keep coming back weekly or bi-weekly until you're "better" whatever that might be. This is appropriate if you've been seriously injured. Otherwise, it's just someone cashing in. Dr Rahman completely blows all of that up. To begin with, Dr Rahman is blind. some will make automatic judgements based on this information. I ask those who would - have you considered that blind people are, in fact, far more sensitive than those with sight. Not just hearing, either. I have no doubt that Dr Rahman senses far more with his fingers and hands than other sighted chiropractors. The proof is in that he diagnosed a spinal curvature that all other chiropractors have missed, and this is a fair number of previous doctors. He was able to prove this assertion by demonstrating it with something my body was not doing, or doing poorly. I'm not just simply taking his word for it. Another unconventional aspect is the equipment he uses. He has various tables to allow the spine to lengthen and open up the vertebrae, as well as other methods and processes that make for the most effective adjustments I've ever had. It is very apparent that Dr Rahman genuinely cares and wants his patients to be well. He is a man of high integrity, and seeks to give those in his care the best treatment he can. Sure the office is a little funky. So what? I've been to spotless modern offices where the adjustments were a total waste of money. If you're more concerned with results, and most importantly, relief, then get over it. He uses equipment and methods you have *never* encountered before. Yes, I said never. I've lost count of the number of chiropractors I've seen in the last thirty-odd years, since an injury where I threw myself from a motorcycle. Dr Rahamn uses equipment and methods that are a first for me. And they are absolutely effective. He takes his time with you and makes sure he fully understands what is going on with your body. He did this with me and has corrected things all others have missed. Finally, he didn't do the usual 'come back in a week, then eventually every other week', etc. I have seen him twice and have received total relief from what sent me to him. Now I'm going back once amonth. And he's very affordable. My insurance isn't taken by his office, so it's out of pocket. The price is well within my budget, and only once a month. I can't recommend Dr Rahman enough. Yep, he is an unusual guy with an unusual bedside manner and unusual equipment. We need more doctors of all kinds like Dr Rahman. If we did, the world of health care would look *very* different, and vastly better if there were more doctors who blaze their own trail. TL;DR: No, there isn't one. Go get an attention span. Now call and make a freaking appoinment already. read more

I have been twice to see Dr. Rahman. I am about to go for my third visit. I have been to many other chiropractors over the years and have never experienced anything like this! I went in with pain of a 7 in my lower back that I have been living with for 20+ years due to sports when I was young. I just thought I had to live that way because no other medical doctor, chiropractor or massage therapist has ever been able to give my anything more than temporary relief. My upper back, shoulders and neck had a pain of 10 and I kept getting total numbness in both arms and hands. I had also been living with this for many years and tried many different treatments including those listed above and PT. Again all of these only provided temporary relief. After my very unconventional treatment with Dr. Rahman, which was about 1 hour long, my lower back pain was almost nonexistent and I had movement in my lumbar spine that I hadn't felt in years!!!! I too looked at yelp and google for reviews on my next Chiropratic visit. Dr. Rahman is closer to home for me and the raving reviews got me intrigued. His practice is different from the regular go in, get a few popping here or there and you be on your way. He actually spend his time with you explain to you every process. Each visit is about 40 minutes or more so expect to be there for at least an hour. He puts you on several of his flipping device that decompresses your back. Then he uses a massager to massage your back and certain areas that needed work. Today would be my second time here and I actually was looking forward to coming back. read more

Dr. Rahaman and his wife are both wonderful people. They make everyone feel at home. I went in last week feeling confident I was in a perfect condition because I'm young, you know? I did experience occasional neck and lower back pain; And the veins on my right calves were more noticeable than my left. But I didn't think much of it. I had ignored these signs for a long time. I would do anything to avoid going to a doctor, or a physician or dentist or any "medical" personnel. Until I saw reviews for Healing Touch on Yelp! I got suddenly excited. People said he healed in one session! I thought, "Heck! I'll give it a try. My curiosity is worth $45. I know I'm fine, but I'll just have him confirm it." I went in he tested if there was pain on neck, shoulder... I said nah! Not right now. He said you passed the test. I thought I knew I would. On my 2nd test however, I FAILED. Badly! My right foot was 1.5 inches longer than the left. The horror! I retaliated, "No, it couldn't be!" He mentioned that it was a result of years of driving. GUYS! Please go get your spinal alignment checked!!! So at the end of the session, my body felt so light, so comfortable, like it was always meant to be. He fixed my alignment. All the bones! Not 1 decompression for $45. But the entire spine(incl. neck duh!), and legs for $45(plus $20 for the first time examination) I told him I've been looking for you all this time!! Dr. Rahman is a godsend. I have been to various chiropractors. Most do a few adjustments and pat you on the back and say see you next time (and pay on your way out). Dr. Rahman and his wife are not like the rest. They truly care for their patients. I must say that I laughed throughout my first visit because I couldn't believe the techniques he was using. He has some one of a kind, odd tools that he used but it all makes sense how he uses them. As an Engineer I had to appreciate his innovative techniques and tools. I decided to look to Yelp for a chiropractor near me. Healing Touch & Massage came up, I read the reviews and decided to try. I was in deep pain from my lower back and right side, to the upper left arm for about a week. I've been dealing with this back pain off and on since 2005. It had become worse and really didn't want to go back to the chiropractor I'd been seeing for the past year. I was on his payment plan which was done at this point. Needless to say, Dr. Rahman fixed what that chiropractor semi-fixed for the entire year! I didn't know what to expect when I walked in to Dr. Rahman's office. Frankly, I was a bit apprehensive as I went back to patient room, but don't be, he really knows what he's doing. The apparatuses he uses looked but didn't feel like something from medieval times but they are not AND you will feel so much better afterwards that you'll want to come back for more. I'll certainly agree that Dr. Rahman is a bit "eccentric" as one of the reviews read, but the man can be called a healer and believer of God. Dr. Rehman is by far the greatest doctor I have ever been to. For starters he has an amazing sense of humor and a great personality. I had been diagnosed by 3 other chiropractors who told me I would need 6-8 months of therapy but Dr. Rehman fixed my injury in ONE DAY. I was 90 percent cured in just one therapy with him. I've been seeing Dr. Rahman for at least 10 years now. He was highly recommended to me by nephew who saw him after a motorcycle accident he had. He said Dr. Rahman fixed him after only a couple of visits. Dr. Rahman is a little far for me to drive (I live in Garland, work in Dallas), but because my nephew swore how incredibly great Dr. Rahman was, I decided to go. I can tell you I had the same exact experience as my nephew. Neck and back pain that had plagued me for years was greatly reduced after only one visit and completely gone after the second visit! It was amazing. I thought it was something I would forever have to live with. I was use to not being able to turn my head very easily when driving and changing lanes, etc., and I was use to uncomfortableness when bending, etc. It was so refreshing to gain my movement back! Before Dr. Rahman: I was a skeptical of Chiropractors after going to one that gave "free initial exam consultations" at 24 hour fitness. After going to this other Chiropractor three visits, hearing how "urgent" my situation was, he wanted to set me up with a $700 plus multi-visit "plan" and gave me a high pressure sales pitch (including options for financing the plan). The only adjustment he gave me during the three initial visits was to crack my neck one way on the last visit. I left there able to turn my neck one way, but not the other. It was a very odd feeling! After going to see Dr. Rahman, I could tell he was totally different than my previous experience. He is very mythological and does a similar process on each visit. First he has you lay on a table with warm rollers that warm and loosen your back. Next he puts you on machine where you are partially inverted and he stretches out your spine and next. Afterwards he adjusts you on a specially built table. He is amazing because he can feel where things in your back and neck are out of place and put them back. (Now after seeing him so many times, I totally trust him and am able to relax a bit better and allow him to more effectively make the adjustments. I feel like putty in his hands!) Finally after doing all this, he takes you to another room and massages your back and feet with specially built electric massagers mounted together in a design he created. It always feels wonderful! And I think the massage at the end loosens your muscles and helps the adjustments he made more effective because your muscles don't immediately pull things back out of whack once you leave. Dr. Rahman runs the back of the office, and his wife Barbara runs the front. Barbara is a nurse and she and Dr. Rahman make such a great team. Not to mention, the cost for each visit is incredibly inexpensive. Anyone can afford his rates which are less than what you'd normally pay for a 1 hour traditional massage. Yet, he does so much more than a simple massage! Not to mention, they are a no B.S. operation. They are NOT trying to give you flashy sales pitches or put you on any financing "multi-visit" plan. They simply "put you back together" and do what should be done. If only more Chiropractors were like Dr. Rahman, the entire industry would have a much better reputation. Since I started seeing Dr. Rahman 10 years ago, I have gone back every year usually two to four times a year. I should probably go a little more often before things get out of whack. But every time something does get out of whack, whether it is my back, neck, hips, etc., I go and he fixes me! I always feel better. Sometimes I'm a little sore the day immediately following the adjustment, but then it slowly improves until the pain I originally went to see him for is completely gone. I love these two people. They have found a fond spot in my heart and I will continue to go back from time to time as long as their operation is here. In spite of the long drive, it is so worth it! read more

This Dr. is by far the best "chiropractor" I have ever met and saw that he uses tools and gadgets HE invented that no other chiropractor uses that actually work!! Prior, to visiting him, I did my research with thoughts of him being like any of the other phony chiropractors I've met. I came in and he diagnosed my condition on the spot and saw the length difference in my leg (reason for my 10+ year limp) and all the knots in my back but after he put me through a series of different procedures involving heating, massage, and loosening up of the muscle surrounding my sciatic nerve, he treated the pain that persisted in my lower back but most importantly made my legs even again. Before I could only kick my butt with my right leg--no problem--but now I am able to kick my butt with BOTH LEGS and do a full quad stretch without having to catch my leg with my right hand and my limp is completely gone!
