If you're looking for a deep tissue or knot relief, this did not deliver. The massage itself was a bummer because it just really didn't relieve my tension - but I'll take half the blame there because I did not speak up during the massage. That was my bad. The reason for the low rating fell is really due to 3 factors. 1. She left the room numerous times for elongated periods of time. At around $1.50 per minute, it felt borderline rude? 2. There was a gentleman who came in asking to see the rooms for a couples massage the next day. The masseuse left the room to help him, and he walked around... while my door was opened, while I was exposed on the massage table. 3. At the end of the experience, there's a borderline predatory-feeling back room where she sat next to me while I tipped, grabbed the QR code for the Google reviews, and proceeded to touch my phone and input 5 stars. She asked 3 or 4 times to just "Submit it now. Write something nice now." as I tried to get up to leave towards the door. Given the number of positive reviews, this may simply come down to personal preference and expectations. I look for strong pressure focused on problem areas and a professional, low-pressure environment. Unfortunately, between the mismatched massage style, interruptions during the session, and the uncomfortable checkout experience, this ended up being my least positive massage experience so far.

When I started moving in the room had been cleared of all the furnished things and there were stains on the carpet and realized I'd have to put an area rug over that. The floor was also uneven and squeaky in places. I also noticed the walls had scratches and holes in places, but most importantly the door to the room had no lock and it did NOT latch all the way when the door was closed. I brought these concerns to Cassondras attention and she said the door would get fixed if I brought in a locking doorknob so I did. Then she told me the one I gave her didn't fit and instead put a different locking knob on there. The new locking knob ALSO did not latch completely and that problem stayed a problem until I moved out early December 2, 2023. Throughout the year, Cassondra also changed the main door key code without letting me know which was an interference to my business and livelihood; I would also find my creams and lotion being used, (and then refilled with inferior product), and my massage equipment would be moved around or taken apart. One day I even found a used black latex glove in the middle of my room and when I asked her, Cassondra claims she was "cleaning" my room. Why? I rent the room so I clean it and when I clean I don't leave garbage behind. Then after I moved out, Cassondra has the audacity to try to charge me $50 for the stains in the rug that have been there for years, and tried to act like it was my fault. This is by far the WORST room rental I have ever seen in my life. The room is small and hot, the floors are stained, creaky and uneven. I did not appreciate the treatment I received while renting from Cassondra and after and I would NOT recommend renting from her.

Stephanie was amazing, she found the areas I needed extra focus on immediately, as well as places I didn't know I needed work on. The aromatherapy was soothing, music was perfect and the tea at the end was a pleasant surprise. I will be back. Update: I'm changing this to a 3 star since it appears the issue is really with Massage Advantage and not Bodhi/Stephanie who actually did reach out to me on the 11th via text message which somehow I never got, but she had a screenshot of...strange! Maybe it's my carrier or maybe it's their software, regardless, she did the right thing by contacting Massage Advantage to get back to me on this issue and give me a refund. I recommend going directly with Bodhi rather than Groupon or Massage Advantage, their lack of customer service is not worth the time wasted for the discounts offered through these 3rd party sites...this is how they really get you! Lesson learned! Per the email confirmation I received on the 10th, all of my contact info entered into massage advantage system are accurate, I still have not received any response via emails nor voicemails to date from anyone but have since left several to the numbers I found on the website and email confirmation.
