Things are a little different now that COVID has landed but the experience of getting acupuncture…read moremight feel iffy for some novices even before the pandemic. For me (with a dislike of needles) I have an entire routine to get my zen-on. In the days 'before' I would get the tea offered at the front counter, pay for my treatment, have the choice of one of the multiple beds or chairs and I could choose a comfy blanket from the front rack to get snuggly into the generous treatment time. NOW post-apocalypse I am masked, there is no tea although perhaps I could bring my own but really I can't recall how I even managed tea with the treatment needles so no real loss there. The beds are gone but the chairs remain at WELL spaced intervals and again NO loss cause my body (that lives with disability) always chose the chairs anyway. Did I mentioned these are leather (or pleather) reclining chairs as in you could practically go horizontal if you choose. Group blankets are gone but meh maybe it was their time anyway- now I bring my Own snuggly blanket of choice. Once you scuttle into the bathroom for handwashing you are good to go to let the mellow music take you to your happy place and kick back for your choice of relaxing timeframes. I am kinda double-masked in that my eye mask helps with my extra 'needle' tension so I'm Very well sealed in my own private Idonknow. If I'm missing their scented eye shields well that is an easy fix with a bring your own option. ALL in all, COVID has not kept this team down from pivoting and providing lots of workable options to let the pressure out and find some peace.

Lisa did a great job of making sure I had lots of pillows ( including some really comfortable pregnancy pillows) Her pressure was great! The clinic and room I was in was very clean and relaxing. The receptionist was really nice. She offered me tea and water as while I was filling out my paper work. All in all, I will definitely be back and would recommend them without a doubt.

Her treatment consisted of needles with a heat lamp. She was away from the room for the majority of the time, only returning twice to twist/wiggle the needles. My mom got me a groupon for Angel Hands for a full body massage. The place is kind of tucked away…read moreand is not what I expected. Don't expect a spa-like establishment. There was no reception to greet you - you kind of have to figure out who to speak to to let them know you are there for a massage. Once you get past the entrance area, it gets nicer. I had my massage and when they said full body - they really mean full body. From the scalp, to the forehead, to the very tips of your toes. I must say that it was probably one of the nicest massages I've had. The one thing that I did not appreciate though is that, although I was expecting to be smothered in massage oil, it would have been nice to have them wipe it off. Other spas wipe off the oils off your skin after the massage with a warm towel so you are not covered in grease. I was so greasy from head to toe when I left the place. I literally rushed home and jumped in the shower and scrubbed myself silly because I was covered in grease. It was quite uncomfortable driving home in that (there was even a grease stain on my interior door where I had rested my elbows). So if you go here for a massage, make sure you are going straight home as you will be all greasy and gross from the massage oil.

In-person treatments with Mihael have always felt energetic for me. So when I recently experienced…read moredistance-shiatsu healing from him as an alternative to physical touch therapy, it felt like an extension of the work he has been doing with me for many years. I prepared the same way I always do for in-person sessions--centred my mind and body for receiving mode. I experienced subtle sensations and movement in my body during the session. My mind shifted quickly into a meditative state which I relate to as the space of co-creation. What I had sensed was affirmed back to me when Mihael shared his notes with me after the treatment. I was left with a deepened sense of clarity and alignment in my mind and body. Mihael's offering of distance-shiatsu healing highlights his innate abilities to connect and treat beyond physical touch.

I recently struggled with what i thought was a lower back injury and possibly sciatica but it turns out it wasn't. All thanks to choosing Jason and trusting him and his years of experience and knowledgeable background in healing other clients. I'm the worst at describing things and explaining but luckily he was able to comprehend and articulate what i explained. I tried dry needling for the first time and i absolutely love it. During my first visit i was in alot of pain, struggled to sit/stand/get out of bed pain free due to that locked up feeling tightness and sharp pain in my lower back/lumbar glute area but now i can get in alot of movement anxiety free. Aside from seeing a physiotherapist, i was happy to finally see Myo in person since i've been a huge fan of Vinh Pham, co founder - been following his social media content throughout my fitness journey. So naturally i already trusted in the business. The facility was well lit/clean/ good location .. lots of free parking/ friendly customer service.

I feel very lucky and thankful that I found this place and met the acupuncturists - Dr May Wang and…read moreher team! I was suffering from insomnia and anxiety, mainly from work, but also from stress that had accumulated to the point where my body could hardly handle any. Long story short, I tried one acupuncturist before finding China Acupuncture Clinic. It did improve my condition, but I soon fell back to the bad routine again with having hard time sleeping and anxiety. I googled on the internet and found another acupuncture clinic, which coincidentally located in the same building. Browsing the website and reading about the backgrounds of the acupuncturists there, I felt something authentic about them and decided to make an appointment. Dr May is such a lovely woman. Every time I visited, she listened to my conditions carefully, touched and diagnosed my body and identified specific problems. Although the main issue was insomnia, my autonomic imbalance resulted from many factors, including stiff shoulders and back, liver function and etc; the issue was not simple. Every single treatment was different and unique. May applied different techniques, and needles were placed at different points - every time - depending on the specific condition. The way she treated was very different from the other acupuncturist that I had visited. Slowly but steadily, my condition kept getting better after a number of treatments. By now, I realize a significant improvement since the beginning. May and her team of acupuncturists are all knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. They are trustworthy and reliable. I hope my review will help anyone who is looking to go to the right place and receive the right treatment!
