Each time,…read morethe physical therapist I worked with was skilled and knowledgeable about my symptoms and treatment. The exercises and stretches I was prescribed were effective and got me back to health quickly. The PTs were very perceptive and picked up important clues to my problems that I couldn't see. Michael was especially good at this. The equipment - balls, weights, machines, tables, etcetera - was all clean and well maintained. The main room is pleasant to be in with lots of natural light. All the scheduling and administrative stuff went very smoothly, too.

Thought it was just for 6 weeks, I was assigned 3 different therapists, each handling me for not more than 2 weeks because the first two were leaving the practice and they couldn't accommodate me otherwise. So, I was put through 3 different treatment styles and exercises at the end of all of which I made ZERO progress with my condition. In fact on the contrary the condition worsened, which according to the orthopaedic specialist was because of some of the exercises that had been recommended. Filing a poor service complaint with the insurance company proved useless since they didn't share any specifics of the follow-up they did with Emerson other than stating that they weren't happy with their service. Very disappointing!

It was a very tough recovery, however Michelle made the recovery process easier. She's knowledgeable and dedicated to her clients. It is because of her that I was able to get thru a rough period. When your feeling down and disappointed with what happening to your body, she has a way of making you feel better. I had a fracture of my knee and was in rehab (which was useless, all I got from them was pain medicine I finally discharge myself and made an appointment with Michelle. After 3 months in a wheelchair I had enough of the run around with people not listening me. Michelle told me she would have me out of the wheelchair within a month. She had me out of the chair in three weeks. She built up my muscles in my legs to get me ready for surgery. I had the surgery to replace my knee. Started therapy and she said I would get rid of the walker in 4 to 6 weeks. Because of all the work she put me threw before the surgery I was walking without the walker in about two weeks. I highly recommend her . The whole business is run extremely well. Office, therapists, I would give 5 stars. I could go on an on about Michelle ,her professionalism and knowledge is amazing. Thank you Select for having all these employees in Chelmsford, ma.

(You can't say that about most medical teams.) I have a connective tissue disorder, so I've seen Mike's team for TMJ pain, shoulder pain, pre-surgical strengthening and mobility of the hand and forearm, and low back/sciatic pain. The team has treated me with modalities including heat, ice, cupping, dry-needling, massage, active stretching, and range of motion exercises. They're also excellent instructors for my strength exercises and home program. While I never look forward to being unwell, I'm always certain that Mike's team will minimize my pain, increase my strength and mobility, and help me get back to doing the things I love, which include yoga, skiing, hiking, and fly fishing. I have complete trust in my therapists at Bay State Physical Therapy, including Caroline, Nate, Bella, and Jesse. This place is so wonderful that when my son came here for a knee injury from high school soccer, he began to consider a career in the medical field. If you're hurting, try Bay State P.T. next to Best Fitness in Chelmsford.

I met Melissa DelRossi in the Spring of 2016 after surgery from a left foot talonavicular joint…read morefusion. It was a very difficult recovery and Melissa was so helpful getting me back to my normal activities that I sought her out again when I had a right shoulder rotator cuff tear and subsequent surgery in July 2017. PT Associates is out of network for me, but I knew that with the difficult road ahead (this was an unfortunate injury), I had to have Melissa as my physical therapist again. She is experienced, patient, perceptive, thoughtful and has a soothing calmness that made me comfortable. I had some problems, including frozen shoulder, so my recovery was long and painful. Melissa was always encouraging, but balanced in what my expectations should be and she was firm when she needed me to curb my activities. I am also impressed by her knowledge and ability to find innovative ways to help me move forward when I hit plateaus. I had my last appointment with Melissa today and am so grateful for her dedication to her patients. In closing, I would also like to mention that the entire staff at PT Associates was great. Chris was enormously helpful in so many ways. The office is quiet, clean, and welcoming.

She was instrumental in decreasing my pain and swelling, advising me on next steps, and finding the right surgeon to reattach my hamstrings. After surgery I continued with PTAoC and worked with Melissa for nearly a year. Her positivity and good judgment saw me through small gains like fully straightening my leg and sitting upright to bigger ones like walking, stair climbing, and ultimately, exercise again. Her sense of humor and ability to connect could distract me from discomfort or focus me on exercise when each were needed. When my patience wore thin and I thought I would never be well again, Melissa reminded me with a calm and quiet confidence not to rush my healing or compare myself to others, but to do my best achieving my own goals. She never offered false hope about a quick recovery, but pointed out, time and again, how it was making me a better trainer. A year out from surgery I can say that it has, and every day I find opportunities to pay forward to my own clients the good lessons I learned in her care.
