Do not use this Vet! Scared me to death! My cat had I thought a UTI. Wasn't sure only that but worried about diabetes as well. I called a mobile vet only because I wanted her treated in my home. Far less stressful and I don't like my pet away from me. She's a Ragdoll cat, shy, very babylike and went through a terrible time when I was hospitalized. Well Dr. Brown came and instead of an examination first, said she was dehydrated & was taking her back to the hospital for fluids, lab, etc... Said she could have stones, worse. I was scared to death. Not thinking, cause you are desperate something be done immediately. I asked for a huge amount of money without knowing what was wrong but he knew I was desperate couldn't get her in elsewhere immediately so he'll he could've asked for my house at that point! So there's that! Regardless Bella was taken, never heard back. No call, nothing. I kept calling found he doesn't have a hospital, I thought I will never see Bella again. I got her back 4 days later, but I left a message on his phone I had 3000k in cash here, knew vets were expensive I'll pay you. I thought if she's still alive I can buy her back! The trick worked cause I got a call back and then Bella and he came. No I didn't give him more money. I ripped him a new.... and was furious but I had Bella. He was explaining he went around to animal hospitals like MD's have privileges at other hospitals, examined, treated, hospitalized her in his home that entire time. Home isn't a veterinary hospital! What kinda sanitation, people, or sick animals was she
exposed to? That's outrageous! Charged for an animal hospital! He told me where he took her but I had no confidence whatsoever she'd had crap done! I took her to a veterinary ER for treatment and when they got a hold of the supposed hospital she was taken to no record of Bella ever having been there! Hmmmm what! So the Vetrinary ER ( we had to wait 7 hours but she was examined and treated. Unfortunately we were afraid to give more antibiotics, etc... cause we didn't know what was done. He said he gave her antibiotic injection and handed me oral antibiotics ( what the label read), however I had no confidence nor did the ER vet this could be trusted. Bella was put through all the exams and tests again. They did quite a lot, kept her overnight, I stayed with her. Wasn't letting her outta sight again! My trust after losing her those days. She was so upset as well. Still all that was done I was charged a fraction of the amount literally less than 20% of his bill and this was a fully staffed trauma center with surgeons and internal medicine on duty. Top flight nurses. Clean, efficient, very good care. I would never take anything you care about to this guy. 4 days is 4 ever not to receive a call with what is wrong after examining her, permission to do further, nope nothing! I've done animal rescue for 39 years. Had moved from an area I knew and needed a vet. Always had great relationships with every vet and staff I used and there have been a ton over the years. From Maryland to California and everywhere in between. Never have I had anything close. No never at all. His answering service was rude telling me "I don't know where he took her, I don't follow him around, I don't know if he will call, doesn't usually". I asked where his hospital was? I was told he didn't have one. Closed a couple years ago". I told her you "get your a.s on the phone and make him call me back now or give me his number". I thought this isn't happening. I really thought she was dumped, killed, or sold. It's the worse 4 days I can remember. I can't imagine such callousness from a veterinary practitioner when they know people are as close to their pets as if a young child. The animal is sick/hurt and most people are scared. It's bad enough to have a beloved family member hurt/sick. That's about as stressful as it gets but to then take the pet, charge whatever cause your desperate and scared and he knew it! Don't use this guy! read more
