I very nearly could not walk into the office. I had a pinched nerve? I don't know. All I know is, I could not get out of bed without much screaming. I made my way in, and they took me back nearly immediately. Doc laid me down on an examination table and tried to sort out my problem. He scratched his head for a bit. Put me on heat and electric stimulation. Moved me to the manual "pretzel" table, and worked the pinch out of my back. I was able to walk out of there, like a modern human, in about 45 minutes. I had an excellent experience here. I am traveling and I am far from home and I started to get some hip pain and stiffness in my lower back that was really concerning to me the more the weeks went along. I made an appointment and the doctor was able to see me on the same day that I called, and he was very kind and I felt relief immediately. I've been able to go back one other time and I already feel more mobility in my mid back and just generally less pain and better health. Highly highly recommended. This morning I was tired of walking around with a pain in my back and a crink in my neck so I decided to find a chiropractor here in town to take a look at my problems. Now I have been weary of chiropractors as I have been to some who think they need to adjust every bone in your body in order to correct a sore neck and others who try to hard sell you infra red treatment or hot stones massages as "necessary course of treatment". Not with Dr. Adam Heidingsfelder. Dr. Adam's office is right across the street from Port City cafe and next to Brick Oven Pizza. When I walked in I found a very modest and discreet office setting. He had me fill out paperwork and after a few minutes, he was the first doctor I have been to who took the time to review my answers with me before starting treatment. He took me back into one of his treatment rooms and spent about 20 minutes explaining to me who the spine works and what he believed was the source of my problems. Here I thought i was coming in for a wham and bam spine adjustment and ended up getting compression treatment, neck realignment and a thorough explanation of the course of treatment he would like me to follow. I have finally found a chiropractor who set a course of treatment based on my entire body and not just my neck and back. My entire visit was one where Dr. Adam would offer suggestions with everything from diet to possible remedies for my insomnia. But what impressed e the most about Dr. Adam was his genuine interest in my health and complete well being. I know he has to pay the bills, but he seemed to care more about helping me get healthy than whether I could cover the cost of treatment. This was my second time seeing Adam in six months. He took time to make sure he understood the problem and made significant progress on my pain and mobility at the first visit. I had been having pain in my arm and shoulder for about two months. I just kept writing it off to pulled muscle from working in the yard. It got worse and worse when I would sit down for short or long periods. My wife set me up an appointment with Dr. Adam on a Wednesday and with in two weeks I was feeling much much better. Dr. Adam took the time to explain the reasons for my pain. He explained each step of the process that I was going through in a very understandable manner. He worked with me to to help me better understand what I needed to do to continue my healing process through exercises and education. This was my first time going to a chiropractor and I am beyond happy and very satisfied with the service and friendliness of Dr. Adam and his staff. Dr. Adam went beyond the call of duty when I called his office Saturday and instead of getting an answering service, he actually answered his phone. I explained to him my husband (who broke his next 10 years ago) was having pain in his neck, back, shoulders and a headache. Doc. Adams was in Biloxi with his family and actually said he wld do his best to get back to his office just to help my husband and indeed he did but it was Sunday before he cld see my husband. So, this man left his home and family ON A SUNDAY and met my husband at his office to adjust him and see if he cld help him. I was in shock bc I know of NO doctor who wld do something like that for a patient bc he knew my husband was in pain and he wanted to help him. I don't know about anyone else, but I was so stunned and so grateful for Doctor Adams and his commitment to his patients and THEIR SITUATION! He is a wonderful man, a great person and still has the compassion it takes to be a great doctor when everyone else around here has lost that "bed side manner". I wld highly recommend him as he helped my husband when he desperately needed it and I can't think of one doctor who wld have done that for anyone especially on a Sunday.... read more

I called Adam at about 4 p.m. on a Monday asking for an Xray just as he was wrapping up the day, and planning to take the following day off with his family. He not only ensured an Xray happened within the hour but proceeded to give us a thorough session before the end of day. There was no guarantee that we would give him any ongoing business since we are from out of town. He had other clients overlapping with our visit. Yet he made sure to put our best interests first. We are so grateful to him for helping us on such short notice. If he had not responded immediately, we would not have the Xrays, which revealed an abnormality, and my husband would still be in excruciating pain. Adam educated us about the nature of the misalignment, gave my husband the relief he needed, as well as specific instruction for the next 48 hours and overall provided the immediate attention and care we required. We were most impressed by his genuine care for my husband's well being. We highly recommend his clinic. read more

My 17 month old has been sick for 10 months. I have seen specialist after specialist. He would have upper respiratory infections, 15 ear infections, 6 pink eye, throwing up, pneumonia, ect. The doctors ran tests and everything came back fine. He had tubes put in and they didn't work. People had been telling me to go to the chiropractor; I finally did and I am so happy I did. We have been sick free for 1 month. My son had a runny nose and he was able to fight it off, while going to see Adam without it turning into anything else. Adam is so good with children. My son was very hesitant at first (because he had seen so many doctors). Adam took the time to build trust with my son by playing with him. Instead of being afraid my little guy will walk right in the door and walk to the back. He does not and has never cried while getting adjusted. I was worried about him being so young, but he never complains or cries. It seems to be helping him to fight infections and sickness. I also liked the Adam did not promise it would cure him, but he said let's try it and see if it works. He has done a wonderful job and as a mom I trust him to adjust my son.
