So I absolutely love Salon Dacota. I have been going there for quite a long time. Love the people…read morethat work there. Great atmosphere. Great products for hair. If you are just going to get your hair cut, they will do an excellent job. My sister also gets her hair dyed here all the time and leaves perfectly satisfied. Unfortunately, what I would NOT recommend is coming to get a balayage treatment done. I have never dyed my hair in the past and decided to do something different for a change. Having coming from Manhattan, I was intent on trying something different for $200 as opposed to $500. I figured with balayag being a very trendy style right now, the stylist had to have a ton of practice. After all, It is pretty hard to mess up -- especially when I show you a picture before hand. When I came in, I was completely brunette. And when I left I did not have a balayage (where my brown hair would gradually turn into blonde) but on the contrary, I was completely blonde with dark roots. Really not at all like a balayage. In fairness, my hair is extremely long. And thick. The appointment itself took 3 hours. I feel that the error came from both lack of experience and also management of time. We ran 30 minutes over into the next client's appointment (poor thing) and I felt like it was a rushed job. She didn't end up actually styling my hair because she ran out of time. I suppose a little of this is on me because I should have ensured she REALLY LOOKED at the picture. I was like here's the picture. She very quickly relied "oh I totally got it! I can do that" This was several months back and the reason I write about it now is because I now am having to pay almost $500 for a color correcting and CORRECT balayage. Moral of the Story: salon dacota is great. Just not for balayage. If you are wanting to do that, splurge and go somewhere that specializes otherwise you may end up paying more. Hope this is helpful!

Upon trying to get ahold of the clinic I was told by the customer service line that the main contact was very busy and had meetings back to back and she would get ahold of me via email and give me a phone call back...it's almost been 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything. This is the location I have received my consultation at and joined Milan Laser Hair removal services, there is no main Milan Laser on Yelp. At the time of my consultation in the beginning of the year I was not foreseeing being laid off, unemployed and looking to move out of Missouri within a matter of 6 months. From what I gathered from other peoples complaints: there is no corporate office to complain to, impossible to get ahold of them, they do not allow you to cancel or break your contract even if it's putting you into debt, they just want your money and don't care about your complaints. I was told this would feel like a rubber band slapping your skin only to get there and on level 2 I was already in pain. I could smell my nonexistent hair they shaved off/skin burning. Be careful and do research before doing chest/stomach area.

When we arrived, we were the only 2 clients in the space since we had the last appointments of the night. The girls working got us checked in, offered us something to drink and let us pick out our nail color from the wall. I was glad to see they offer dazzle dry since that's been my new favorite type of polish recently. Once we had our colors, the techs had us sit in the chairs and we were able to soak our feet for a bit. The bowls they use are meant to be cleaner than the traditional pedicure tubs and are easy to move around as needed. Once we had our feet soaking for a bit, the techs started to clean/scrub our feet/ankles and calves. They also provided a warm neck wrap that we could put on while relaxing. Once they are ready to start with the lotion and hot towels, they have you recline back in the chair which was so nice. My favorite part was when they did the hot stone massage on my feet/calves. Honestly, that felt so good and lasted a nice amount of time. Once all of the pampering was completed, my nail tech started to work on my toes and made sure they were getting painted correctly. She did at least 2 coats of the color along with a base coat and a top coat so I trust the color will last for a bit. We were able to remain reclined for about 10-15 minutes while our toes were drying and then the nail techs came out to check on our toes so that we could put on our flip flops and head out. The techs were so friendly and really made sure we felt good afterwards. They helped us up off our chairs and then we were able to pay before leaving. This really was such a nice experience for a pedicure. Now that I have done the basic pedicure, I may be interested in doing one of their speciality pedicure experiences next time.

I was offered a beverage and a warm neck wrap. Deja was my pedicurist, she did an awesome job! The hot stone massage and the reclining chair made it hard for me to stay awake. So relaxing! Prices were reasonable. I was able to book my pedicure online without a deposit. Plenty of available parking. I can't wait to go back.
